Me, too. St. Johnswort 'Brigadoon' (Hypericum calycinum) looks interesting. The parent plant is native to southern Europe and SW Asia and the 'Brigadoon' is a cultivar. There's more information on the Missouri Botanical Garden or Fine Gardening websites. I have used the lavender 'Phenomenal' and it truly is a pollinator attractor for a long time.
Plants that repel deer is aromatic aster . It’s nice to use this to around the edges of your garden . Aromatic aster is periwinkle blue and has a sticky substance on its leaves and has an herbal scent. This has worked year after year for me and it is a native
One of my favorites! It does spread and needs the "Chelsea Chop" before July 4, but so beautiful in fall. I don't have a deer problem, but it's good to know.
@@juniperhairstreak I grow it at the local botanical gardens in the native beds around the edges to deter deer , I keep it trimmed down through the month of June and it is budding now 🥰
What a beautiful garden! And I smiled so big when I saw that spicebush swallowtail caterpillar! They are so teeny! Maybe that's why I haven't seen any on my shrubs yet...I need to look closer. ;)
Beautiful property and interview!
Gorgeous! Loved all the plants.
Thanks for the tour, Rita. I love your conversations with gardeners.
