A new map for comp is 100 percent needed from a viewer perspective
Broken Moon is a pretty map and plays fairly well. Add a few more POI's and it would be fine. Olympus is flat out terrible though
I completely disagree I’m happy to see WE and SP and I like the match days split of 3 and 3 games. These maps are by far the most competitive and most exciting to watch
My only ask for this podcast would be a more reg schedule. Totally understand that considering what you guys do might not have the time but more content basically. The content you deliver is good I just want more
time stamps brother, watching other long form videos like this i love it when they have time stamps and name it after the topic being discussed.

Pretty sure Nafen said that whatever the change it would be Sweet and Gild definitely not teaming together for not working well together. So it's would be either Nafen + Gild or Nafen + Sweet.
Nafen seems to want a freshie, seems like nafen/gild is most likely
@@lunatik383 I think if Nafen doesn't get a team he feels he can win with he's gonna call it. He said he wanted to go back to school but also doesn't feel satisfied without a win. Usually someone on the edge like that isn't gonna wanna grind and rebuild from scratch with "random" people and it would need to be some really notable people he sees win potential with.
In addition he said that teams aren't actively looking for MnK players which limits his options.
love the content lads. watching from the UK! as a player who came from Warzone in Apex season 12 i’ve become completely obsessed with the game.
Would love to see more player interviews even if it’s shorter form content (20/30) mins

I wish there were more people with a solid a business background in Apex Legends who could speak in more depth on the missing business aspect in the game. Big Orgs sink huge amounts of money into E-sports with very little ROI (return on investment). EA is on its way to $3billion in earnings in 2023. Triple A games have massive marketing budgets, so to allocate that money to Big Orgs (which are massive for growing the competitive scene as well as the game), seems self explanatory. We all hope EA will find some agreement with the orgs, (especially when understanding the annual profits involved, as well as marketing budget allocations) If not, it just seems greedy. I want to be optimistic because the game phenomenal. This last LAN was one of the most exciting ever. To see orgs leave is a negative trend but I hope the power's that be recognize the issues. Fingers crossed. There is a way to keep these games going with reasonable profit sharing, especially when they realize the value of viewership and gamer growth thanks to these big personalities (TSM, ETC) and they share some profits based on the value of having teams like FAZE, and TSM involved. Shared skins seems like a no brainer.
The game publishers don't care about the orgs because they know the truth, the orgs are toothless, and don't ultimately matter as much. Some orgs absolutely bring eyes, but once the scene has developed its the players themselves, and they will always exist, it's been a pyramid scheme from the beginning, publishers are group financing these leagues with the orgs footing the majority of the bill, while they reap the rewards. When the system collapses because the game looses favor to the fans and players, they kill the scene, and move on to a new game.
I think something similar to the Macdown format where the most chosen legend gets banned after the end of each match would be so hype at Algs
I’ve always loved the Rainbow Six comp options of voting to ban certain operators. It could work on Apex where how Snipe suggested, one legend per category would get banned. Might change per map.
More maps has to be a good thing
Depends on the map. I agree. A deeper, high quality map pool is the only way forward. 3 maps for the next year and the chance to rotate over used maps in and out to suit from Year 5 onward would be the ideal situation
To be honest, I dont see any of the other maps currently available ever being good enough or liked enough to be in comp. Might get one of them anyway, but a new map that everyone adapts to at the same time along with what already works would be good. That or a massive overhaul and beautification of broken moon.
I’m not trying to watch Olympus in comp. There’s so many end game circs that are so bad
@@timothymoore2966So you would rather watch the Same end games on the same maps we've all been watching for over 2 years now🤮 Pretty bad when the casters are calling every end zone during 1st circle!! Kings Canyon should at least come back!! Olympus stinks but it would be new and fun especially watching all these pros bitch and cry about it😂
All they gotta do is stretch out the POIs in Olympus and add more cover in the open spaces and for BM they take off the rails from POI to another POI and nuke Promenade while they are at it
Snipe's view on TSM contest is quite real: anything can happen and any team can win. So far they've managed themselves. What i would also like to see, is Faze getting contested by teams such as KCP, BBB/E8, OXG, KCP and see if his noble view stands :) i bet you money it wont.
Tsm was winning the contest and Hal was on seer. Snipe just likes it when ppl contest tsm because he’s biased. All podcasts he wants ppl to contest tsm.
Faze will drop dead if they get contested by a good team.
@@voidtankage4289 i'm pretty sure his opinion on getting contested would change to be on par with Hal's and Raven's. difference is, TSM is unbeaten right now (contests). I don't see Faze surviving half those contests: OXG, DZ, KCP, BBB/E8 ...
@@voidtankage4289 Hal isn't going back to Seer and this is a new map. Most people are heavily biased towards TSM and just want them to win or not be contested. However, when you choose to pick the POI most valued by pro teams, a contest is inevitable.
@@buddhastl7120 sure but oxg is just contesting for clout. All oxg wanted was energy depot in Olympus now they want lava syphon in WE. They are obviously doing it for clout
i started playing apex coming over from rainbow 6 about 2 years ago, an esport with massive focus on bans, legend bans would be huge for the comp scene, having all 20 teams voting out legends every game for 6-8 games would create so many story lines going into each map, imagine going into a game with no horizons, or no cats, no bangs, youd see some amazing team comps, it would open up the esport for people that can flex and be great at various legends instead of one tricking, although it would make strat building basically impossible, unless teams strategized around using the legends that never get banned, it would definitely freshen things up for tsm to win another championship...
If you ban certain legends, certain Playstyles will not be possible or way less efficient which leads to teams dying way early and you'll have a margin of teams left in final circles. This would make the match way less interesting to watch. Apex is most competitive with the highest amount of teams in the smallest space to play in. Surely it would be refreshing to see "bad" legends in comp but it would make comp less competitive. We get new legends in every other season so there are enough switch ups in Playstyles in my humble opinion. Another factor is that teams optimize and train with certain legend comps over months in scrims and little tourneys so banning legends on match day would make practice obsolete

Game is also not deep enough like that to warrant legend bans. Maybe when theres more legends, even then itll just come down to which form of boring/annoying/oppressive legend do you want to see/deal with like in rainbow.

I've commented on this before but it still impresses me every time: The production team is so incredibly talented. Turning what is essentially 2 guys with webcams into this high level of a show is insanely impressive.
I also love how Fallout points it out/thanks them every episode. Him doing so really reinforces the idea that he cares so much about not only the show, but the scene as a whole. He isn't just SAYING he wants Apex to be a 20 year esport but is showing it as well.
Would love to see some sort of legend ban system implemented in tournaments, whether it be that the most played legend each game gets banned (there was a tournament that did this a few months ago, was really cool to watch) or the winning comp is banned in the following game, or something like that. Everyone playing Bang/Cat/Horizon/____ every game gets boring

Not enough legends in the game yet for bans. A lot of ppl don’t realize how horrible the game would look with bans. It’s a br makes zero sense for bans. Brain rot

I'd vote for Broken Moon and either King's Canyon or Storm Point. Olympus is terrible, and World's Edge is getting a bit stale.

I honestly love snip3down's idea and to back off of that idea, I always thought apex should have a banning phase in the comp scene whether that is after a Lan or even just for a different map change. The problem with the apex comp scene to me atm is that everything is the same and teams always play the same playstyle which gets a little boring in my eyes

Dezign coms were horrible and he didn't want to take any of the blame. Timmy died because he had no clue where the horizon was while Dezign new she was on the house

such a weird take on this. im not some snipe Stan, but he seemed like a great opinion from a pro, who offered great insights that we normally wouldn't have. don't get any hate. if we want this type of content we should appreciate them for actually sharing. Also, he's a multiple game champion, just got 6th place (100k) what more do we want? stop the hate
