GOTHAM is an origin story of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. From executive producer and writer Bruno Heller and executive producers Danny Cannon and John Stephens, GOTHAM follows the rise of Det. James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) through a dangerously corrupt city teetering between good and evil, and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time.
GOTHAM is based upon DC characters and is produced by Warner Bros. Television. Bruno Heller, Danny Cannon and John Stephens serve as executive producers on the series.

#Gotham
I love how close bruce and Jim are at the beginning
Sometimes you have to do something ugly... spoken like a true vigilante.
*****
"Is it though? I somehow doubt Batman would see it that way. There are things he is unwilling to compromise on at any cost, regardless of whatever greater good may come of it-- killing for instance..."
But he's not above fear-mongering, intimidation, and outright torture to get what he wants. He's a criminal, a vigilante, and operates outside the law.
"Then again, Bruce is yet a child at this point. He hasn't formed the deep personal codes he would later be famous for."
There's a quote from Justice League Unlimited that I really liked. "I haven't been a kid since I was 8..."
I think it works a little like that, that his emotional development hasn't developed at all since the murder of his parents. He grew up in a hurry after his parents' death, but at the same time never got past it. Even when he's an adult he's still that little boy in that alley.
Alfred is a very good mentor, teaching young Bruce the whole time along about proper manners.
I think this is the first time I've really seen the Batman coming up from under the Bruce, which I find really exciting
+Molly Masterson true
"Ah, but you can't do that - because he's a bad man" - Bruce Wayne
"but first, you must do something ugly, buy your personal honor forbids that" - Bruce Wayne
"Are you not sacrificing the greater good for the sake of your dignity and self-esteem, your vanity?" - Bruce Wayne
spoken like a true vigilante
Says the guy who sticks to the law and doesn’t kill. Leave Gotham upto the punisher. 😁
@@ajay0841 The Punisher would do in a week or two what Batman could never do, and that being cleaning up the city once and for all.

I’m sorry where can I watch this series? Please 🙏 🙏 thank you 🙏
Is it just me or does this seem slightly hypocritical with Batman's no killing rule?
Well if we have anything about looks that kill he can be guilty as charged.
Yes, but Bruce was still learning at this point. He only started to realize the true value of life and his first rule around Season 3, after he overcame his anger to kill Jerome.
All Bruce cares about now is finding his parents' killer. He hasn't made a no killing rule yet. In season 1, he was vihimently against working with Penguin, now he's starting to see the bigger picture of how bad the city is. It's made his think this way. In season 3 he realizes he has a choice, he doesn't have to kill. But here he's not exactly mature yet. Alfred calls him out so yeah Bruce is in the wrong somewhat although I believe Jim still goes through with the penguin thing maybe because of what Bruce said
Jay Lawrence what I said above. He's still a kid basically.
