Something learned the HARD way: NEVER sign off someone else's work because you're pressured to.

      Yikes! Yes, 100%
I would also say this is a bit of a “catch 22” because at some point you will likely be the person signing off on a project as a whole, while other teammates completed “sub-tasks” related to the project.
At one point I signed off on a project after others had signed their parts as complete, but one individual had actually made a mistake (or possibly pencil whipped it unbeknownst to me) and signed their part.
The aircraft had to come back for warranty work, and I got chewed out for it.

      Thanks for your comment!
Could you be a bit more specific?
There are so many different jobs in aviation maintenance, is there a specific job career path you want to know about?
i.e. airlines, general aviation, etc AND what role within them? i.e. line tech, hangar tech, engine overhaul, etc.
This will help me answer better.

Mark, your videos have been so informative and inspiring to get me started with getting an A&P, doing research before fully diving in and looking at job listings in my area it looks like most require you to have your own tools. I’d love to see a video on the best way to go about getting a tool set/ possible price ranges and what’s a need and what might be a skip. Thinking of trying to work for a major in Southern California someday!

Thanks so much for the kind words, and glad my content has been helpful for you!
I’ll add your idea for a video on tools to my queue.
In the meantime, I have a blog post up with a few options that may be helpful:

Still a work in progress, but it should get you started.
