I am so excited to share this curriculum! Absolutely saved our relationship with math. My daughter is LOVING it!

We tried Saxson Math, and it was a disaster! Denison was a game changer for us as well!!

we are really looking forward to Denison for my youngest when she gets to the levels he offers. She dislikes math, works hard but it has always been a struggle for her. I think it will be a great program for her!

We love it! I plan to start my youngest earlier with Denison.

Denison was a game changer for us! We were using Math Mammoth before that and it was AWFUL for my son. He was stressed and confused and in tears daily. We did the trial week and he was actually excited for math and asked to start with math each day. He's gotten 100% on every assignment/test so far compared to the 50%-70% he was getting with Math Mammoth.

I am so sorry Math Mammoth was being such a pain! How long did you use it? My daughters both are using it, and seeming to do fine. They are in the younger grades, so I don't know about the older grades.

@@lisaroper421 we stuck with it for 5 months😩 he was public schooled up until that point and wasn't familiar with conceptual math. My younger son started in MM 3 and did fine with it, but preferred Oak Meadow Math 4 so he switched over to that.

@@elisabeth... Well, in any case, I am glad you found other things that work well for your kiddos now! It can be overwhelming to have so many options, but it has its pluses!

@@lisaroper421 I'm glad there are so many options out there to choose from, but I wish the process of finding the perfect fit for each child wasn't so expensive😂 we started off the year with one line up, changed history curriculums after 2 months, then realized the science was boring them to tears, math was a daily battle/breakdown. They had a little vacation and I took that time to look into Oak Meadow and a few other curriculums, printed out a few weeks worth of samples, when the vacation was over we did a full week of Oak Meadow samples(and my oldest also samples Denison for that week) and they loved it, it was the first week we had zero tears and everything flowed so nicely. My oldest is a reluctant writer, he doesn't like to put forth much effort in learning but his week with Oak Meadow he was writing paragraph long responses and enjoying the science experiments, he was excited to talk about what he was learning/reading. It was like he became a different kid entirely. One of the many reasons we chose to homeschool was to encourage a love for learning/reading in our children and the curriculums we started off with were giving us the opposite effect.

We switched from TGTB for my 7th grader. He is doing Pre-Algebra. I wish I had learned Math this way. Maybe I wouldn't have despised Geometry so much!

OK, big question - do the videos have captions, and if so, are the captions correct? That's my big challenge with using video math lessons (or any kind of video lessons that included numbers or unfamiliar terms). Sometimes there are no captions, or other times the only option is the auto-generated captions, but they aren't quite right, which could be a huge problem in math (wrong numbers, etc.). Thanks for checking if you have a minute!

I just checked. There do not seem to be captions. Most all of the information is written on the worksheet pages shown, but the Mr. Denison commentary is not captioned.

@@MakingEverydayMagic Thanks for checking. I think that means my son is stuck with Mean Ol' Mrs. Sodano as his math teacher!
