  • Here we are making and cutting our New Beginnings cold process coconut milk vegan soap using the “Split Method”for the New Year! I wanted to do something pastel and fresh to start the New Year and this scent perfectly fit the bill. It is scented using Jade from Brambleberry.
    What did you think of the cut? Did it turn out how you thought it would? What might you do differently in the future? What questions do you have? I would love to answer if possible :) I just can’t get over how gorrrrrgeous this soap turned out!

    I always add my coconut milk powder to my oils first. So much easier

    Hello I’m new to soap making just came across your channel loving the tutorial but because I’m new to this it would be if you could go step by step with products used and the ratios. What are you using to color with and is the fragrance an essential oil? I’m interested in specializing in vegan soap making using cold process method do you have any videos for that specifically? That soap is beautiful 😍

      Yes! It took me hours to get this all done. I completely agree. I don’t know how to make it easier :(

    This is absolutely fantastic! My solution to the milk issue: I use goat's milk powder. The most conventional of all!🤣

    • @clover.soapworks
      @clover.soapworks  Год назад

      I’ve had trouble with milk powders. Just make sure to get the clumps out really well. I’ve tried stick blending them in the oils and still end up with little bits that didn’t dissolve in the oils. It’s why I always use fresh, but powdered would be easier!

    Love your work ❤ Nate. I just watched Jerrika's latest vlog and thats where i got to know about you. Great job! Do you half half water and milk?

    • @clover.soapworks
      @clover.soapworks  6 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you! No, I don’t do half water and milk. I have slowly adjusted my milk content upwards so I feel it in my finished bars but still have enough time to do fun swirls. I also do a fairly large water discount, so there’s definitely not 50%.

    That's so pretty I love it😍 my favourite swirl in a slab too is that side to side one you do. Oh and I love your emotionally exhausted shirt too , i need that haha

    New subscriber here. FAB soap! It makes me feel mellow. Now, for when I don't want to feel mellow, where's the full video on Poseison's Palace? :) I don't find it on your page. And by the way, one of the main reasons I keep making my own soap (besides catharsis) is because it DOES NOT leave a residue. Perhaps people don't know what their real skin feels like when they make the switch. Peace.

      Thanks for the feedback! It’s just me making soap, doing all video editing, etc! I’m on IG, TT, and lightly on YT. I need to figure out how to get more content on here. I may need to hire help!

    Love watching your soap videos. Soap and Clay recommended your channel. Not sure if you mentioned this in another video, but when doing the split method you mentioned, are you just dividing in half what is needed for water with the milk? So if my recipe calls for 16oz of water, I would use 8oz of water with 8oz of milk?

    • @clover.soapworks
      @clover.soapworks  9 месяцев назад +1

      Split method is basically using just enough water to dissolve your lye, typically a 50/50 solution of water and lye, and then using your remaining liquids as milk that you add to your warmed oils. So you don’t have freeze your milks. It’s very fast and convenient!

  • @EmeraldsHoneyComb

    Yeah I do not freeze milk and I went from using actual goats milk to the power I’m unfortunately allergic to coconut wish I can use coconut milk I made rice milk soap everyone loved it but I didn’t do it from the ways I saw either all the letting it sit overnight blending letting it sit strain then freeze for usage lol I just let it sit after washing about 5x blended it up and extracted what I could and used it it still did the same thing imo lol

      Aww!! There’s a surprising amount of people allergic to coconut. I was doing a coconut free soap for awhile but all my equipment is the same so there is some cross contamination :(
