Wow those were some hefty looking bison there. Thanks for showing us some more beautiful ones. Blessings to you that the Ponderosa can one day look as good as them.
Dusty, we thank you for showing again this magnificent ranch. How awesome this herd is. I hope that you will soon be able to have your own flat bed and a feed dispenser. Hugs from N.C..❤️
Dusty hang a bell from the skid steer and ring it when you want Bison to come to you when you feed or give pellets. If there's ever an emergency, you can get Bison to find you and follow quickly. Any loud sound will do, but one of those cowboy "diners ready" bells would be iconic. Food plus sound equals " I'm a comin".
WOW! The bulls are magnificent! Really reminded me of your herd, calm, well rounded/fed, gorgeous critters. Seems when the herd has enough land to roam, they are easy going. The little red dog shown was plump, good milk from mama. Thank you for sharing your day. Interesting how wide Dr Parsons impact has been on the bison in your locale has been. Fascinating man.
Great video, thanks for sharing how other bison farms are raising these majestic animals I just watched the video of when u got big joe and his girls. He really behaved himself in the trailer which is a testament to his owners that raised him the same way you do.I also watched how bison are being returned to native american land as it should be,it made me cry but in a good way.I know some of these ranchers have huge herds of bison,i prefer to see people like yourself starting out and how your herd follows and waits to get their cubes.Just want u to know how much i have learned from your videos and the relationship u have with your herd and will grow more every year.I hate those cockle burrs to and i have gotten them in my hair growing up and they hurt like heck.Keep ranching and hope your family are doing well.
Good Evening! ClearWater Bison 🦬 Ranch! A lot of Dunbar’s! Little Red Dogs, too! 450 Bison 🦬! Big Herd! Seven Bulls! Imagine 7 Dunbars! Great Short Video! Thank-you! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Dusty, just thinking out loud, but you mentioned that your heifers seemed to give birth sometime around a storm. It got me thinking that maybe rain would lessen the amount of smells that might get around to predators. Do bison eat the afterbirth? I wonder if this is the same for most antelope species. What do you know, or what are your thoughts?
Did you say Doc Parson's Bison Farm is called Canadian River Bisons? I thought he was an American ... did he emigrate to Wyoming from Saskatchewan ... or hailed from somewhere else in Canada? Or is there a Canadian River in Wyoming? Wow, there were some huge Bulls on that farm. They were impressive in size! How many Bulls can be put together on the pasture/field or whatever you call it, when it's larger than a 10 acre parcel? You mentioned about bringing Dunbar and the ladies over but would you be able to put him in with Big Joe or Hoss ... so it's determined by acreage and not how many Cows you have ... or is it a combination thereof? I wonder if either Big Joe or Dunbar would be dwarfed by any of these Bulls!?! And some of those Cows were huge ... you have a few large ones in, which I have to take a double glance at, so as not to mistake for Big Joe. The same for them, as some of those Cows looked like Bulls sans goatees. I don't know ... maybe they were young Bulls. I kind of like the idea of a smaller farm like your's, as the Bison get paid a lot more attention and it's easier to keep an eye on them. Whereas I wouldn't think they'd get as much attention there, as they're probably left to roam the area and they get round up whenever it's time to work 'em or off to the sales/auction barns. Thanks for the glimpse into that huge Bison establishment.
We always had a call word with cattle we'd ride the ATV and yell suck suck suck ! making laps to make sure everyone heard you and give them bags of mineral by hand.... so when we needed to move em ever we just yell suck and they follow us anywhere
there were some hunky beautiful bulls in the field. That siren would annoy me. I would have to get them used to the horn oe something. Sensitive hearing I guess...... Wow lots of land to cover. Thanks for sharing. Cheers 👍
Please, contact Daniel about some cabinets for you shop you are making. He has some beautiful well made cabinets out of a kitchen that have pull out drawers that would be great in your new shop area.. he is going to destroy them and they would look so good in your shop area.
