- Logan and I are proud to present FRAMEWORKS. A 12 part series starting today!
Downhill racing and bike tech have been a passion of mine throughout my career. I've been lucky enough to ride for some of the best teams in the industry and have taken away valuable insight from each. From the bike set up to the team around you, there is more that goes into downhill racing than we see watching the race.
Follow along with me this season as I shine some light on what works for me... and what doesn't. I'll give an honest look at the development of my downhill frame, building a race program from the ground up, and everything in between. Depending on the race schedule, videos will drop monthly.
Check out a list of the gear I run here!

That last Magnus toast was real class man. Well done.
So. First race, 1st place on the low pivot. Second race, 1st place on the high pivot. This tells us all that we already knew. It’s not the bike so much as the rider. Make the rider comfortable in their setup and their skill will shine through. It’s going to be a good year.
Not so much as a direct and measurable performance benefit objectively with these designs, but maybe it gives the rider confidence. If it's "just how they like it" then there is no distraction from the task at hand of executing their lines and staying focused. Like I highly doubt the Loic Bruni signature Magura lever blade will make anyone faster, but if it feels right for him or someone else and allows them to notbe distracted, there's the subjective performance benefit.
Big shout out to Logan for his work behind the scene. Neko provides some good content but you make it all next level with great shots and smart editing.
For sure. Logan has seriously stepped his game up the last year or so! cheers!
10 Thumbs up for this whole series. Legendary.
Congrats on the wins! And must say, super nice production from Logan! Keep up the good work 🤘
Yep
Killing it Neko. Really enjoying the edits Logan. Great story telling. Looking forward to more great things from you boys.
This is a crazy example of the advantage a downhill racer can get from being knowledgable on the bikes and the tech behind them. Surely most DH racers wouldn’t have this amount technical knowledge
my respect for Logan and Neko for using the Black Keys is so high
Man so pumped its working out for you so good so far! cant wait for the worldcup season!
those pants look sick btw 🔥
My goodness, this video is incredible man. Such good vibe from start to finish. Can’t wait for the next one 💪
So stoked, Can't wait to watch you at the world cups, hopefully more americans get involved in dh racing from this!
Well done to Neko and your team. Been a pleasure watching you develop and race your bikes. Tear it up in 2022!!
still cant verbalize how excited i am for this project!! keep crushin!!!
Logan does such a good job on these videos! Stoked to see you shred this year too Neko.
Absolutely loving this series, as a fan this season is already a big win!
Best video yet! Go 🇺🇸 we need more patriotic people! God bless
Nerves are a funny thing, if you can harness that nervousness I think that is what makes top tier athletes top tier. I'm loving every part of this as a bike nerd and as MTB race fan
Woot! Comfortable is rarely fast but confidence in equipment Is a big +1. Keep it up. Nervous now is that fully vested feeling that is a big dopamine drive, it keeps the venom level high
You are killing it Logan! Way to go.
Great job to you too Neko...
You and your team are killing it! So happy for you. 👍
Hell yeah, Neko! You even look more confident and aggressive on the bikes. Can't wait to watch you race in person this season. You are a constant source of inspiration for me as a rider, trail builder, and overall ambassador for the sport.
Logan, you smashed it out of the park again. Your videos are always in my favorites! Keep 'em coming!!
Loving the frameworks series gents.
OMG!! what a cool crancks maaan!!
5DEV makes some cool stuff for sure
Unreal mate, congrats on the 2 wins!! Cant wait for the WCs. Huge props to Magnus
Love it! Bike looks so good.
Allah Las playing on the intro? Damn, got me in already.
Logan, great job again, can't wait for the next video. Neko just amazing, yes the riding is great with great results but putting together this project and making it work is a giant accomplishment. Plus still the "king of chill" after such great results, wishing all the best for the season, will be following it all.
What a guy! You’re killing it with this project, as a brand I would be stoked to be involved in this! Oh, and the music selection has been on point!!
this is freaking RAD!!!
keep killing it!!!
Content and editing are so good! You and Logan are doing outstanding work!
Congrats and well done. this series has made DH so much more interesting than I every thought possible.
O for awesome bro 🤙 shout out from NZ 🇳🇿
Great job! Congratulations to the whole team!
These videos a so good. I look forward to each one. Love the sound track too! Reminds me of the old days.
Regarding the faster thing being harder to handle, it's often that the fastest racecar is the one that's forgiving or 'easy' to drive. With a peaky car you don't really know how far you can lean on it before it bites your head off. It might be good for short durations (qualifying), but overall it tires out the driver and/or causes mistakes.
A more forgiving, balanced car is one where the driver can put the head down and get to work.
Given your stance on leverage ratios and their shape, I think that might be the case of similar thinking.
Congrats on the wins! Loving the content Neko and Logan, keep it coming and good luck for the upcoming W.C season 🤟
Hell yeah looks like it is coming together pretty well. Looking forward to your analysis of the different bikes.
congrats on the win's,,,and congrats to all involved on your team!
haha much more comfy the last few years. yeap thats what we wanna hear
Great video. Excited to see how they preform at TTC this weekend.
awesome stuff man, you and Magnus
Amazing riding dude, looking forward to seeing to race the World cups this year. Good luck man
RICK GOES SPONGING!
I think it comes out to the rider being able to change and adapt to a new bike. Each bike is a different ride and good riders can change there style as needed like you
Wow!
GO NEKO!
Had just sat down with a cup of tea, decided to reload YT and saw the vid, something nice to watch while I relax. Good job on the wins, on both bikes. Couple of questions...Do you think that the high pivot helped on the second race because of the rougher, more blown out track, which they're 'sposed to be better at?
Curious on your thoughts Pro riders from "bigger" countries going abroad to other smaller countries to build UCI points and possibly take points away from locals also trying to gain points to give the WC a shot? Obviously the second race was a N & S American thing, so full rights to be there, but have always wondered about this when I've seen it done, bit unfair in my books.
More winning!!!
Subscribed! So good.
Sick 🔥
Awesome video, not too many comments on them cranks tho.....
Please Neko, put automatic subtitles on your videos, everyone, from most languages, including hearing impaired, will follow your videos.
LOL that drrrr drrr drrr @1:28
will you doa vid on your suspension setup in relation to each bike?
@Neko do you think your riding has improved because you have slightly less sponsor pressure? You can just ride for the craziness of it
Sorry, if you've adressed this already, but what is your opinion on those big rotors? And would you use them, even if you didn't race?
Why did you decide to go with the dissectors in the front and the dhr2 in the back? Did the wider spacing help with the deep loose stuff enough to compensate for how low profile those knobs are?
Also, real stoked for you dude! Congrats on the win and can't wait to see you kick more ass this season!
Are those custom cranks too? Did frank make them?
Neko, can you explain to us normies about your tyre tread choice at this race? noticing dissector being used alot, especially in front.
Beating cancer... Best 1st place.
Where are your bikes better than the M29/protos? Geo,kinematics,sizing......or a bit of everything?
(Also, boogs are NOT cool)
Neko what rotors are you running with your TRP’s?
they are 246mm Galfer
is taht a 240mm rotor? lol
