The thing is with eBay pricing is that not all sellers are people looking to sell for profit, they’re just getting rid of unwanted items,if that wasn’t the case you’d never grab a bargain on there.
thank you very much for your comment, i agree with you there totally but it doesnt help then if there are items half the price your selling them for, you either have to wait for them to sell first or lower your price its frustrating.
Hi Walter - I used to buy the majority of my stock for trade prices off other dealers, but I now find it impossible to make a profit (30%) on sales, as it seems to me that the public now expect to pay trade prices or even less. I'm not blaming them for trying to buy at the lowest price they can, but it's definitely fuelling the 'price race to the bottom' and doesn't allow for the amount of time and effort we as dealers have invested to source the stock in the first place. I'm not sure where the industry goes from here to be honest. You touched on it when you mentioned eBay prices being all over the place. I agree that there is no stable market at the moment and can only see it getting more 'competitive', to put it politely, by the day. I also only sell on my website but have experienced a sharp drop in sales even before the traditional summer slowdown. I know you have experienced similar and I would be interested to hear the community's and your opinion? Regards, Mark.
Hi mark. Thank you very much for your comment. i have also noticed a similar slow down, tell you what i may do a live film over the next week or two and have a chat, take some questions and comments from other sellers.
hi mate, thank you so much for your comment. tbh we are no longer aloud to ship lighters, and no one smokes anymore so the buyers would be limited to collectors. if i turn it in to a lamp it is open to a world wide market and a one of unique item.

@@AntiquesArena Excellent idea Walter. Let me know when you're going live and all being well I'll join the chat 😁👍.
Love the trench art
Thank you very much. Me too. Not sure what to make out of it yet but I will probs go down the line of a lamp
I would put the Lighter back on. Unusual Lighters usually sell very well.
