I had the same problem with an SC-Project oval that had the DB killer screwed in and had a weld spot at the base of the bolt. I had to do a job similar to yours, but I didn't like the sound and I sold it for half the price I bought it of 660 euros. What I recommend is to buy the exhausts from America/Australia via ebay or the official website and ask if the DB-killer is fixed or no I didn't do it and I got screwed by them. Finally if I were you. I would buy a complete racing exhaust with manifolds that eliminate the catalyst and have them make a nice map to the ECU. The bike is new, it deserves it, man !
@@TaiPassionGP full system wasn’t a problem… Ecu flash in Ireland is a problem… buying full system without Ecu remapping is pointless - that’s main reason why I didn’t go for full system Bro .
I HAVE THE SOUND SOLUTION my friend. Cheap, easy and fast to make: 1. Get the muffler of the bike 2. With a proper drill bit, CAREFULLY drill the rivets on the inferior part, where the pipe meets the muffler. (Watch a tutorial about how to drill rivets if needed). 3. Pull out the cap and then the entire muffler insider pack with the fiber. 4. Once you have the fiber out, you can either get it off entirely (loudest set up), or cut half of it about 1/2. 5. If you wanna try how it sounds before install the rivets, assembly everything inside the muffler and wrap the joint (where the rivets) temporally with some aluminium tape to put muffler and cap together. Install it on the bike and start it to check sound. If not OK (you want more), get the muffler and tape off, cut lil bit more of fiber glass and repeat. 6. Once you achieve the desired sound, finally get the aluminium tape off and with a riveter and some proper rivets (same diameter as OEM ones), rivet the muffler in star pattern. 7. Install and ENJOY ;) !!

@FreeRideFusion thanks for sharing this. I'm gonna order one in February but I was hesitating because the dealer offered to put akra or arrow exhaust on it. But if doesn't make that much difference I rather avoid spending 1200 euros on it.

Nice video, that akra is pretty quiet. I will definitely get the full line when I get my 600RR. And just leave the dbk

How did you get rid of the db-killer? The new Akrapovic model has it welded on I think.
