Learn something new today -- spiffy carabiner! I've got to check into those. Love carabiners -- so versatile. I am a whitewater paddler and they're real nice on the kayaks or my raft (D-ring using biner attachments w/ webbing. I also keep 1 on my PFD. And 1 clips to a throwbag, for emergency rescue. They also work well w/ backpacks, as you probably know. What's also handy about a basic caribiner is a way to hold your keys. All of my keys are kept on a few basic o-rings, then slid onto my biner. I clip it to my purse handle when not being used. I never lose my keys!! Now I get to check out a very different carabiner and learn to use it. Thanks....
They are great once you start using them. Keep the little card the come on. It has all the different ways to use them. We carry at least one in every pack.
I clicked two on each bag , and put the other two in my truck , 3 bags are bug out / camping , all identical , and one hunting back pack , Dads Green Beret back pack , still in use today , metal frame
Yes, if I had the $ that area would e my permanent bug out location. Buy a house with some apple trees. Raise a steer and get some chickens and a hog. Fish a little, garden a lot and maybe hunt a deer occasionally and write my book. Ah to dream a little in this world.
That is what i use as well, except I do have a wood toggle already installed at the loop end. A rapid deploy ridgeline saves a lot of time and trouble.
Great tip with the carabiners! Thanks, Modern Refugee!
Woke up . Fell out of bed, dragged a comb across my head , coffee is done , let the day begin !
Looks like where I live , but then again , so does the country of Norway , I watch Bjorn too
Awesome!! Teach the children and anyone who will listen. Valuable knowledge.
