Hey guys and welcome to todays video where we take a close look at Versed skincare and their hit and misses.. I would love to know what you think of the brand so make sure you leave me a comment below to let me know your thoughts on the holy grails and fails for you xx
Hi Rob, hope your doing well. Question.. Ive been using The Ordinarys retinol .2% in squalane then the .5% for 7 months now and I'm not sure I notice a difference. I have adapalene but nervous to use it. Could you recommend a retinol product that's in between the two but doesn't cost an arm and leg, or give me advice on starting the adapalene. Thank you.
The exfoliator is aaaamaazing!! I don’t agree with your review on that product. I have been using chemical exfoliators for years so I’m well aware of how great those are. But idk what it is but there’s just something about using a very gentle exfoliator every now n then! It just revives your skin instantly! I’m gentle and only use when I feel my skin is looking a bit dull. It does something that the chemical exfoliators don’t seem to do.
I'd like if u do more luxury skincare videos. They're a bit hard to find on youtube understandably. Love affordable skincare but no harm in some luxury sometimes. Thanks!
Hey hun thank you so much for watching and I love some luxury skincare in my life too so dont worry I will be doing an video on luxury skincare in the coming month xx
The ordinary peeling solution is strong for me, i use it once a month. I will definitely be picking up versed version, plus all versed products are 15% right now at target. Video right on time!
Thanks for this video! I've been curious about Versed especially their newest product Dr Visit. One thing I noticed about the cleanser is that it has Lactic Acid in it so it wouldn't be comparable to Cerave Hydrating or Foaming Cleanser but maybe a replacement for SA cleanser for dry skin or people that find SA too drying?
Hey hun thanks for watching and your right it would be a gorgeous dupe for the SA cleanser and a little more gentle.. I didn't mention the DR visit as haven't been able to try it yet but finally managed to order one so can't wait for it to arrive xx
I have only tried their Dew Point moisturizer, but it is amazing. I have combination skin and it's so lightweight and hydrating. I'm going to pick up the cleansing balm next! XO
Thank you so so much for watching hun and I think this is a brand which be coming out with some interesting things this year so I will be keeping my eye out for updates for sure... sending you lots of love xxxx
I wanted to try their niacinamide serum (just breathe) but it was sold out so went with face theory. Personally I don't mind hearing about sold out products as I rarely buy things immediately and would rather know about it and wait for it to come back into stock if it was really good. I very occasionally use a physical exfoliant (dr brandt microdermabrasion) which I thought was supposed to not cause as much damage as normal scrubs but will be extra gentle just in case.
I love the just breath but its been out of stock for so long which is a shame.. I will bare it in mind about mentioning sold out products as i know a lot of people don't mind.. Are you enjoying the Facetheory one? Xx
Hello!! Totally love your videos, so so helpful!:) I would like to ask. If you had to choose only 10 products, that are vegan, cruelty free and mostly natural (or clean), from brands like versed, paula’s, facetheory etc. Which ones would be? And top 5? Thanks again:):)
My favorite Versed products are the tinted mineral sunscreen and the gel cream. I have brown skin and the sunscreen does not leave a cast. I find most gel creams not moisturizing enough for my combination skin but theirs is! Hopefully it does not break me out as it does contain some wheat germ oil :(
I love the baby cheeks. It’s kept me from using makeup wipes. I take my minimal makeup off and rinse off. I prefer it to the cleansers that have eucalyptus which are to much for me and the fume starts to get my eyes 🤷🏽♀️
OMG finally someone has told me what its to be used for.. Thank you so much and I am so glad it worked for you.. I did find it hydrating but I was not sure what the point of it was but I can see it working as a light makeup remover for sure.. Thank you for watching xx
How would you compare the Press Reset to Grandactive Retinol 2% from the Ordinary? Does it have more retinol in it? I’m trying to build up my tolerance, so I can try a higher percentage.
Hey hun I would say its on a par with the ordinary emulsion in terms of strength.. if you are looking to go up one level in terms of strength then I would suggest going for the stronger a-game retinol by geek and gorgeous which will be a step up and can be found here: iaff.geekandgorgeous.com/125-2-3-5.html vxxxxx
So I’m using the Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair regenerating cream with retinol SA, can I use the Versed bit c derivative with it, or should I still use them on different times and or days? TIA 😊💙
Hey hun great question and yes you can use them together but i would use the neutrogena in the evening and the versed in the morning just ro space them out and get the best results.. Thank you so much for watching xx
First. I love versed so clicked as soon as i saw the notification.. The cleansing balm is amazing and i have the vacation eyes on order after your recommendation the other day x
Oooh good call.. I love both but i would choose the Facetheory if i had to as i think the consistency is to die for and i love the level of hydration you get xx
You seem to be reading my mind about having a versed review! Very timely. And I have recently bought the On the rise serum 😂 actually wanted to get a hold of their vitamin c one but as you said it’s sold out frequently 😢 but retinol is now added to my wishlist!
Caution: the Versed Restart Retinol has 6 triggers ingredients for fungal acne. I recommend using a bakuchiol only serum like the Bybi bakuchiol booster that only has 2 ingredients: squalane and bakuchiol. (This natural ingredient has the same properties of retinol without the dryness and irritation process)
hey hun thank you so so much for calling this out, I don't suffer with fungal acne myself but I know a lot who do and will find this super useful so thank you for sharing xxx
Hey hun thanks for watching and that's a great question.. Its difficult to pick a percentage as different types of retinols have different strengths irrespective of the percentage.. I would go for either the Facetheory retinol, the inkey list retinol or the Indeed Labs retinol reface as your first retinol.. All are mid strength so you will see good results with few side effects.. I hope this helps xx
Hey! Love this video. I was wondering though, I’ve noticed that the versed gentle retinol serum has sunflower seed oil as one of the first two ingredients and also hydrogenated vegetable oil and poly sorbate 80 which are both fungal acne triggers unfortunately :( did you notice them? I was looking forward to trying it but it’s sunflower oil based and has those two triggering ingredients. I’m not sure anymore :/ thank you 😊
Hey hun, I agree with you, they have some great products but they are not totally clear on their concentrations which is a shame as I wish more brands would let us know the concentrations of their actives.. Thank you so much for watching xx

I love the brightening serum. Tried it after you recommended it as a dupe in one of your videos
Its, gorgeous isn't it. I love the actives but mainly i love how it feels on my skin xxx
The ordinary peeling solution is strong for me, i use it once a month. I will definitely be picking up versed version, plus all versed products are 15% right now at target. Video right on time!
OMG 15% off thats amazing thank you so so much for letting me know and I hope all the US viewers can pop over and get themselves a good discount xx
Mad About Skin yes ! It’s a steal and you get an additional 10 dollars off if you pick up or drive up for your order 💜
The dew moisturiser is really good though its a little light maybe for people with super dry skin
Hey hun I hope your well and I agree xx

@@MadAboutSkin Should be starting the face theory one this week, there's a tiny drop left of my ordinary one but it seems to be hanging on forever 😂
I agree!

Mad About Skin for foundation only as part of a second cleanse or just to remove spf.

I love the day dissolve balm! Perfect for if you wear a lot of makeup!
Hey hun thank you so much for watching and i totally agree with you, its heavy duty but smells divine xx

Mad About Skin ok, thank you. Might give it a try, and you’re very welcome 💙
First. I love versed so clicked as soon as i saw the notification.. The cleansing balm is amazing and i have the vacation eyes on order after your recommendation the other day x
He hun thank you so much for joining and watching.. I hope you love the vacation eyes xx
Do you prefer the Versed Brightening Serum or the Facetheory Vitamin C Moisturizer???
Oooh good call.. I love both but i would choose the Facetheory if i had to as i think the consistency is to die for and i love the level of hydration you get xx
Could you tell us your thoughts on the new weekend glow by verses I want to try it it’s yellow but I don’t see any reviews for it
You seem to be reading my mind about having a versed review! Very timely. And I have recently bought the On the rise serum 😂 actually wanted to get a hold of their vitamin c one but as you said it’s sold out frequently 😢 but retinol is now added to my wishlist!
Hey hun.. How are you finding the on the rise serum? It seems like a good formulation i just think the name is a, little misleading.. Xxx
Mad About Skin completely agree with your assessment! Nice and hydrating but not more than that, although firming is not my need now
Caution: the Versed Restart Retinol has 6 triggers ingredients for fungal acne. What percentage of retinol is best to start with if you have sensitive skin?
Hey hun thanks for watching and that's a great question.. Its difficult to pick a percentage as different types of retinols have different strengths irrespective of the percentage.. Can you review the brand good molecules ?
Hey hun, I plan on doing a review in the next couple of weeks so watch this space.. Thank you so much for watching xxx
Mad About Skin yey !! I’m going to wait your review before buying anything lol 🤩
Im really interested in their Dew Point Gel Moisturizer but its out of stock :(
I love it so much but your right it always seems to be out of stock which is why I didnt include it in this video which is such a shame xx
While I do agree with you some of the ingredients in the products are at quite a low concentration when you look into it.
Hey hun, I agree with you, they have some great products but they are not totally clear on their concentrations which is a shame as I wish more brands would let us know the concentrations of their actives.. Thank you so much for watching xx
So they're not fragrance free. Essential oils are fragrance and sensitizing
Nice t shirt
Aww thank you so much hun and I hope all is amazing with you xx
