You know us, we love SKZ. We've been reacting to SKZ Survival show over at our patreon page, and we recently got to episode 6, where SKZ went with JYP to YG location to battle the YG trainees. This was a very fun episode that helped us recover from the craziness that was episode 5 (if you know you know...lee know), but the standout for us was Han and Changbin's rap performance with Bang Chan - Matryoshka!

The survival show honestly is so heart felt and I hope you guys get to enjoy more of their music and performances also in this performance Bang Chan had said in a video that during this time he was practicing to do a flip but ended up getting hurt so he was dancing half paralyzed which honestly is surprising to me .

Changbin looked 10’ tall and had already spent 20 years in show biz when he rapped. His gravitas was and is amazing. I never liked rap until SKZ ;)

This is literally me, I love rap because of SKZ and the bar has been raised so much that I cannot listen to anyone. SKZ are just pure talent 🤧 ❤

Same thing here! My mom started to like rap bc of Stray Kids!! She absolutely loves Changbin and Han's flow and how it's supported by their top-tier lyrics. They're both so talented and this performance is just *chef kiss*
I think they were only like 16 or 17 here. So much talent at such an age. Unreal.

I've watched this video so many times already, and I still go back to it every once in a while because it's just that good. SO GLAD you watched and reacted to it!!
One thing that always strikes me - even from this old pre-debut video, you can ALREADY see the Changbin - Han magic happening. I mean, not only were they rapping pure FIRE, but their confidence and stage presence were already very apparent. They were literally meant to do this. It was destiny.

EDITED TO ADD:
The fact that 3Racha had already been writing, performing raps and producing their own music even before the final lineup for Stray Kids was determined helped with Changbin and Han's performance in this video, too. They had already been exposed to performing in front of audiences and feeding off the energy in the room.

BTW.....if you haven't watched it already, you should also watch the DANCE BATTLE from the same session. Stray Kids performed a very diverse and incredibly well executed dance with both humor and hard choreo, and then the other trainees stepped up to do their thing.
The other trainees were really good, but IMO, SKZ blew them out of the water. And you can see SKZ had already started to develop their "Stray Kids flavor" with their choreography. Video here: ruclips.net/video/E9DxPSenolo/видео.html

Yes! I go back to these performances all the time! It's incredible to me how much of a strong unit they already were, when it had been such a short time since Chan collected the nine of them together.
I love that Chan had them start the performance before the actual performance started. The intimidation was REAL! I don't think even JYP knew Chan was planning that.
@@HandsomeSausages is there a story of how the lyrics was written? I am just wondering where did their come words like Matryoshka, which is a national russian doll, and "babushka", which is a "grandmother"? Does any of them speak Russian?
Changbin and Jisung were sooo amazing in the survival show. I remember watching it right away when I became fan and they are still my biases from that point.
Please react to Han’s solo song “Scissor” 😭 it’s not a survival performance but it’s so underrated and so good 😭

That *Maaaaatroyska* is legend. Tho I was sad JYP took Chan out from this rap performance, I do like this version than the original.
Read some comments said they never like rap / hip hop before Stray Kids. Well, me too. I still remember the very first time I watched SK's busking performances. Changbin's rap hit me hard. Next, I found out about 3RACHA.
And since then 3RACHA's track being my daily dose to through the day.

As far as I can remember, three of those kids debuted in Treasure, one is still a producer at YG/Black Label, one debuted in AB6IX, two debuted in CIX and one of them left the industry.
