Thank you Dave for sharing you time with us. It gives us all the hope that “someday” we will get out there in the right time and place to duplicate your results. Tight lines and be safe my friend.
When I hurt my back years back I used to leverage my net in a similar fashion for bigger cats and later Salmon ( when I moved to Oregon) . After breaking two just like you did I started putting PCV pipe inside the handle. I have not fished in years, but the last net I did that too is somewhere around here.
Been watching your videos for about 7 years you always put out great videos. Don't have a bunch of junk and advertisement on your videos. Really love your videos!!!!!!
Welcome back Dave! i was thinking a little honey might of kidnapped ya! Nothing wrong with livin right! I tried it till I was 9, never worked out for me tho.
Hi Dave, long time listener, first time caller, great video. You can fix your dark colored rods very easily with a couple bucks worth of white plumbers tape, and a bottle of clear nail polish. Wrap a strip of tape under each rod eye, and seal the end with the nail polish. Voila, (french for hot damn that works good) you have visible rods at night. They don't change the action of the rod and will last for years.
This dude is pro- idgaf but when it comes to fish Dave has to show what's possible & in a less than likely scenario- remember when he used to hook on to those huge stripers and they'd croke upon release,,lol. Dave must've found himself a decent routine to get on hot spots for great content.... Truly admirable.
Way2go Dave I've been watching you for ever since you came on got here in California you make my evenings great and I'm learning how to fish for catfish
You know brother I got good hearing, but the only time I can hear you is when you're up on that camera sound like you need a mic that you put on your chest so we can hear you a little better love your videos would love to hear what you're saying better
I spend time every day with my guitar. I've got a D-42 Martin. It's a 2007 model. I also have a Borgeios country boy. Love flatpicking those fiddle tunes.
Skipjack Dave back at it. Even doubled up on the ditch pickles. Looks so pleasant and peaceful out on that water. Still betting you catch a 60+ pounder before the seat rips completely apart. I believe if you had a mind to it, you could become the skipjack king as well. Looking forward to your next one
Really appreciate the discussions around bait patterns during the different times of the year. You can see this pattern in Oklahoma also, as the 3-4 inch threadfin are pushed up shallower as well. Now If I can just figure out the big Gizzards and where they stage Ill be set.
Looking good Dave man you even got the sides of your coveralls button looking good man love the videos maybe ever 4 days be better lol but that's just me stay healthy man
So, Dave. When are you going to go up to Kentucky and point-man for Michael? 🙂 Have you seen the saltwater nets that have the grip handle down at the head of the net? Pretty spiffy and even that ergonomic whatchamathangit stuff. I saw one at the Walmart here but I live on an island in salt water and Walmart might not have them there. It was American made and seemed pretty ruggedly constructed. I thought about you when I was looking at it because it would be a great net for a 70-pounder. I'm glad you had that awesome day and evening out there with ample skipjack and then a few blues to boot. Can't beat that with a stick. Absolutely I have to thank you very much for letting us enjoy it, too. 👍🎣🇺🇸
You should take the best of all your rides and design your own for asset night colors. That way, you can put your own fishing bowls out your own brand just to thought
Was planning on going this morning, weather says sunny high of 80. Got to the ramo at 7am and there was 3 wake boats putting in. I just went on home. 😅
Hello Dave, Would you make more money if you did more videos-every week? You know we can never get enough of your videos. Thank you for your time on the water
Slide you a piece of 1 1/4pvc over your net handle, one little self driller with silicone and a rubber washer with a glue on endcap, seal other end with silicone and... now you can't bend it, and it floats!
Them ditch pickles are lucky the skips are so plentiful this time of year. You can use a little reflective tape to nocturnalize those dark rods if you're inclined. Do you find the sonar effects the catfish bite while suspending? My favorite time of year as well!!
Is it just me or does Dave seem like he has more pep in his step, and "fully charged batteries". Can't really articulate it but the last couple of videos Dave seems energetic, healthy, rested and almost...........happy. 😮
Hey Dave When you gonna go back to using boards that actually pull out, just wondering, you sure could use a wider spread then what you are currently getting.
I find it interesting that you reel a spinning reel with your left hand and your baitcasters with your right hand. I realize it is personal preference, but just a fishy fact. Have you ever used a left handed baitcaster?
When you get your new net a simple hack you can do is to get a wood dowel that fits just inside the aluminum handle. This will add strength without sacrificing much for the weight added. It also will add some buoyancy if the net goes in the water unexpectedly.
Dave, did you change your camera or the Wattage on your light? It’s very bright on your face it makes it harder to see your face. Just a observation. You and your Videos Rock Thank you
And As Far as Repairing Your Net Handle , You Could Buy a Length Of Hard Plastic Water Pipe The Next Size up To Slip Over The Handle and Screw it into Place , or Perhaps if Possible to Get The Water Pipe in The Same Size in Hard Plastic and Just Exchange The Aluminum Tube Out With It ???!!! It Would be Lightweight , Strong , and Cheaper Than the Whole Net , But I’m Just a Poor Fishing Guy !!!
The two best catfishing channels on RUclips. Catfish Dave and Hook Line and Chill!!!!!!!!!
Ha, Dave. You are one of the best fisherman I have ever seen! Keep going! And be careful.
No barking dogs, blowers, shooting, sun in the camera, fresh bait, few boats, and catfish wow! what a great day Mr. Dave!
Need more bank fishin videos...
😅
Thank you Dave for sharing you time with us. It gives us all the hope that “someday” we will get out there in the right time and place to duplicate your results. Tight lines and be safe my friend.
Perfect time for fishing.good catch on this trip.👍👍

That’s a great idea.
That noise that sounds like a winch turning would dry me crazy.....I sure it is smart part or spot lock...😮...great video thanks
Fresh bait coming easy. Great day
No Jet Skis, boats, dogs etc. Nice and Peacefull. Thanks Dave!
It's still hot down here but you can't catch em if you ain't out there. Thanks your making me git out .
I like it the same way! Catching skip jack can be fun too. Looked like an enjoyable day of fishing. I know I enjoyed the video. Thanks for taking us!
You know Dave. I would love to go fishing with you one day! I would love it. It would be awesome.
I LOVE deer season! I dang near have the whole lake to myself!
Great to see you back on the water , I was wondering what happened to you but glad you are getting your hooks wet again.
Another great video Dave keep up the good work thank you

Thank you to the beautiful cougar that keeps ol Dave ..he is looking A little "buffed up"..yeeehaw 💐
We just got back from watts bar Dave. The skipjack were on fire. We also stopped at big fish outfitters. That is a great bait shop.
Best of both worlds in one video - daytime fishing and nighttime fishing.
Rankest live cat ever? 🤔 I thinks that’s a mystery that needs solved!!! 😂😆
🤗 CFD 👍 .. ✌️🤙
Way2go Dave I've been watching you for ever since you came on got here in California you make my evenings great and I'm learning how to fish for catfish
Just repair your net it's
alot cheaper.
Pvc or metal pipe material to union it. Drill holes in the two sections and run bolts through both ends
You know brother I got good hearing, but the only time I can hear you is when you're up on that camera sound like you need a mic that you put on your chest so we can hear you a little better love your videos would love to hear what you're saying better
Just letting you know - I could see those rods just fine.
I spend time every day with my guitar. I've got a D-42 Martin. It's a 2007 model. I also have a Borgeios country boy. Love flatpicking those fiddle tunes.
Been watching your videos for 4 yrs now never get tired of them you do a great job keep up

Get back to your roots Dave... Bank fishin videos for us poor folks!!! Lol..

A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work. 👍
Who works anymore?😅😅😅
Nice to hear that Alfa Wolf HOWL, it's absent 👌 ....
Get a couple of the Neonic rechargeable black lights. Less bugs and highly visible rods. Also might make a cool night video.
I know you gotta put fish on the boat however you can, but I do enjoy watching the hookups on suspended baits whether in person or on the tube
You might want to try a black light. And or some florescent tape
Looking good Dave man you even got the sides of your coveralls button looking good man love the videos maybe ever 4 days be better lol but that's just me stay healthy man

Great report, tight lines
Thank you Dave, That was a Nice relaxing video and I enjoyed it. I bet you do really enjoy this time of year, very peaceful out on the water.

🔥THE MAN
CATFISH DAVE
THE LEGEND 🔥
Hey Dave, I was just looking at a RUclips video " 20 Largest Fish in the World" and guess who made the list? Pretty cool. Keep on Throw'in.
Was planning on going this morning, weather says sunny high of 80. Got to the ramo at 7am and there was 3 wake boats putting in. I just went on home. 😅
It will be easier pulling them big cats in , Dave
It rains more in the desert than Southern Ohio
Most of the midwest is under drought conditions.
Seen your video about the free net. Hopefully someone was able to rescue it.
Is the camera on?? Ok, I’m gettin paid! 😂😂 Love it!

Maybe wrap reflective tape around the dark rods?
Keep the rain away this weekend & we can chase some Flatheads in Michigan.
I knew CD was gonna catch a bunch of hill billy hickory shad when I saw the sperry's. It's one of my secret weapons.
Nice video man.
I buy glow sticks from dollar tree and tape on my dark rod tips. 10$ will buy enough to hold you over a few months.
You catchn pretty boy skipjack
Is it just me or does Dave seem like he has more pep in his step, and "fully charged batteries". Can't really articulate it but the last couple of videos Dave seems energetic, healthy, rested and almost...........happy. 😮
He must have him a woman! Lol
A small piece of school bus reflective tape every foot or so will make the rods super visible!
Hey Dave enjoy your videos. What are the bass eating now in the fall on the TN river?
Minnows
Hey Dave
When you gonna go back to using boards that actually pull out, just wondering, you sure could use a wider spread then what you are currently getting.
Your boat seat is looking a bit rough. Time for a big old captains chair!
If you get a round handled net to replace the broken one, put a wooden dowl in the hollow handle to prevent it from bending.
Looking good Dave
Krylon fluorescent yellow marking paint. Makes any rod visible in just the slightest bit of light.
Been watching a long time man love the vids 👍
👍✌! Carry on
Must be fishing Fort Lousy. Them blues are smallish
Put some fluorescent tape on the ends
Almost 100k
You done getted another haircut there catfishers Dave
Now is the time of year to use whole skipjack jacks for bait. Bigger the bait the bigger the fish !
Throw those Skipjacks in a live well. Big live skip jack for flatheads is the golden ticket !!!
Was wondering if you have tried wrapping your rods with pieces of reflective tape for night
Martin, huh? Someone's doing well
Catfish Dave 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
There are two good times to fish. When its raining and when it isn't.
U can get a 12 v black light and it would light them rods up u can prolly get 3m black light led strip across the back and would be all u need
I find it interesting that you reel a spinning reel with your left hand and your baitcasters with your right hand. I realize it is personal preference, but just a fishy fact. Have you ever used a left handed baitcaster?
DAVE!!! How do you know how tight to make your BK plainer board???
Why not wrap some sort of bright reflective tape on the rod tips?
When you get your new net a simple hack you can do is to get a wood dowel that fits just inside the aluminum handle. This will add strength without sacrificing much for the weight added. It also will add some buoyancy if the net goes in the water unexpectedly.
I see in the background they finally got the SS Minnow repaired and back on the water 4:45
“CATFISHDAVE” Sir, do you ever do any “LIVE” videos?
put some white reflective tape on your rods
Dave, did you change your camera or the Wattage on your light? It’s very bright on your face it makes it harder to see your face. Just a observation. You and your Videos Rock Thank you
And As Far as Repairing Your Net Handle , You Could Buy a Length Of Hard Plastic Water Pipe The Next Size up To Slip Over The Handle and Screw it into Place , or Perhaps if Possible to Get The Water Pipe in The Same Size in Hard Plastic and Just Exchange The Aluminum Tube Out With It ???!!! Go get a dowel rod from home Depot and put it in your fish net handle
Did the catfish eat the bait or hit it and it came off?
Hook Line and Chill are doing their Halloween special this month
Do you know how I can get my hands on some of those berkley E Cat rods??
Dave are you using circle hooks on suspended rods???
You look healthy
What navionics app you use
meanwhile here the water level is like 3-4 feet lower than usual and its pushing fish away and making for meh fishing
How many skipjacks can you cheap?
What flavor u dip Dave?
roger that dave signing off
