Etihad do not have have a dedicated prayer area for 10 passengers at a time on carpeted floor, which is also given more padding with a large prayer mat.

    Ticket of Saudi Airlines is very very expensive specially for Umrah people. They must reduce the price of ticket, people are not going for pleasure they are going to perform religious duty. Some people want to go perform the UMRAH unfortunately they can't effort, because the ticket price is to high. Saudi Airline and government of Saudi Arabia
    must consider this problem. JazakALLAH. From London😊

      This is the tricky part as you have to do it in the normal toilet sink. It’s not too bad and some of the toilets are slightly spacious. I normally take flip flops with me and wear those on flight and use a water bottle to help wash my feet. Obviously wipe and down and clean toilet floor before you leave.

    In Islam you can’t go on a multi-hour flight without praying, and can’t pray in their seat? I’m for religious rights and Islam, but just surprised is all.

    • @JuberAhmedTravel
      @JuberAhmedTravel  6 месяцев назад

      It’s not so much about praying on a flight, it’s more about timings of prayers. In Islam, there are five daily mandatory prayers. If the timing falls in for one of the prayers and you are on board a flight, you still pray even if it’s whilst seated. It is much preferred to stand and pray if you are able to do so. The fact that Saudi airlines have a space accommodated for standing and praying even onboard a flight is what I found great about the airline. 😉

    • @christerry1773
      @christerry1773 6 месяцев назад

      @@JuberAhmedTravel interesting. Although it sounds like that could get cramped if many are praying near the same time.

    • @JuberAhmedTravel
      @JuberAhmedTravel  6 месяцев назад

      @@christerry1773 valid point. So normally there is a wide timeframe for each prayer, and so one can make each of their five prayers in between these times. So people basically take turns to use that small area in the plane and its done quite sensibly - at least that has been my experience :) So say for example the prayer after midday - you normally have like 2-3 hours to offer that prayer. So, if there's multiple people wanting to pray, they can move in and out of the prayer room within those hours. Only one prayer which is at sunset needs to be prayed pretty quickly and so it can get busy then on the plane. However, again its done sensibly usually where people wait their turns as for the sunset prayer you still have a 20-30 min time frame. The rest of the 4 prayers you have a timeframe of hours in which to make the prayer.

      Good point. It’s largely because Muslims have very practical observances such as the five daily prayers and as it’s mandatory, Saudi airlines have accommodated for this. The prayer room on board is not like a quiet room - it’s a very practical spot which anyone can really use, but mostly Muslims do as they are more practical in their religious observances, especially when it comes to prayers. Hope that clarifies 😉
