Awesome video. Head to Bristol in August for the Bristol Balloon Fiesta, and visit the historic SS Great Britain!
Try learning some table manners. Yeeesh.
I've just come across your videos and I think they're smashing. Good luck to you all.
do love your shows? are you a couple? if so let's see it!!! walk through the town's hand in hand !! be nice to see!!! x
enjoy your vids, but look in to the history of the "dukes of devonshire". this filth slaughtered the daily lives of the plebescite for 300 years. ( they still would if they thought they could get away with it).
Most Americans stick to London so it’s so good to see you travelling about the country doing normal British stuff, beer and puddings, eventually british
haltoi01 there is more to the uk than London and no most Americans do not stick to London many come to South Wales to see the Gower coast and towns
London is no longer part of England. It has its own entity. FCUK London. Stick to the peak district, the Yorkshire moors. Wales, Scottish Country side.
Totally agree
I’m from England and didn’t even know bakewell pudding existed! Looks amazing! I love a bakewell tart.
You Guys are in danger of becoming honorary Brits!! You really seem to enjoy the British Culture and History, keep up the good work, your videos are really well presented and put together with a great deal of care.
well the British are their ancestors einstein
Oh dear, there's always someone who's a smartarse, get a life for goodness sake.
Damien, what a weird thing to say? They may have ancestors from every country apart from England for all you know.
I know. Most of these comments are so hideous. Always has to be turned into something political. I mean white privilege? For gods sake.
About one American in 500 has ancestors from here.
It seems you guys had a good time, I love that you are so respectful to our culture.
I love when recipes are created by accident. The best way to come up with new food 😀
You know you've been in England for just the right amount of time when it's below freezing but at least not raining and you describe the weather as 'perfect' :-) Bless you, hope you had a great visit.
I live in England but thank you for these vlogs as they make me appreciate all the nice places we have. Its easy to forget whats good on your doorstep. You have inspired me to do some more travelling around my own country rather than go abroad for vacations.
I am so enjoying your blogs. I am a very well traveled women in my early seventies. I was born in England but lived in Australia and now Canada. You are showcasing your experiences with such intelligence and unbiased interpretation. I am sure that your parents are proud of you.
“ This is like the perfect light lunch spread” looooool !!!! There’s nothing light about bread, cake and puddings. I can never get through an afternoon tea. It always comes and you think “hmmmm that’s not very much” and then three sarnys in you are like “ omg what have I done” 😂
Like others have said, it's fantastic to see travellers explore and show off the rest of Britian outside of London.
All the best!
My grandfather used to clean the windows for all the businesses in Bakewell for decades. He's very well known there.
This brings back childhood memories
I'm late catching-up tour chanel here, but I have to say that you two are two of the best that I've seen... I love your enthusiasm, and that go to each new area with eyes wide open, and no preconceptions, and make the best , and most of what you encounter... and that you love what you're seeing and experiencing - even if it is peeing-down with rain, and cold!
All the very best to you both, and may you enjoy many, many more adventures throughout your lives.... and I hope you let us continue to share in them :-) Thank You!
I'm really enjoying your channel. Most people who visit the UK go to London and never venture north. So impressed. Love seeing all the food too.
Just wanted to say, its so nice that you ventured out to more place then most people get to go to while visiting the UK, Bakewell is a favourite as i live close to Bakewell great little place to visit hope you get back some time and visit in the summer time
The white powder on the top of the Bakewell tart we calll it icing sugar here in the UK
Guys the Bakewell tart, is lined with raspberry or cherry jam. The filling is ground almonds eggs flour butter and almond extract. Sometimes it doesn't have icing and glacé cherries on, just flaked almonds x
Glad you enjoyed our little part of the world. The food at the beginning looked delicious. And the Bakewell pudding and tart looked huge, what we would normally call "family size".
You can buy individual tarts which are about the size of a cup cake, usually in packs of 4 or 6. And the tarts are one of my favourite type of cakes or desserts. You can get them in most supermarkets, so everywhere basically.
In Ireland we never hear of Bakewell Pudding, but everyone's mum seems to make Bakewell Tart! Often made in flat baking trays and cut when cold into rectangular pieces and eaten hot or cold.
In the UK a lot of us like Irish Stew!! lol.
I'm English and I've never heard of Bakewell Pudding. Tart yes, Pudding no.
Nobody from out of 30 mile radius of Bakewell knows about Bakewell pudding.
Hi guys. Glad you're still both enjoying England, I like the way you you go to the less obvious tourist spots and still find gems.
I spent many childhood holidays camping in the peak district. Go to Castleton and visit the caves!
I've had tons of Bakewell tarts but I didn't know there was a pudding. x
I like you two, grown ups with brains, not so large egos and willing to learn? very rare for the Internet these days, cheers. PS I absolutely adore Bakewell tarts, wouldn't go near the pudding, brave people lol. M from London.
European countries always make me think and smell of butter, caramel, milk, cheese, sugar which is so good immagination.
We’ve eaten there! I think we may have sat at very table. I had two breakfasts. They forgot the bacon or something and brought out another plate for me. Would have been rude to say no. Went back later for the pudding.
Glad you guys liked my hometown!
Glad you peeps are enjoying your British adventure so much , your vlog is interesting and well paced keep up the good work and let your friends back home know how amazing the Brish Isles can be ...at it's best .Maybe we will see some of them visit too .
At the beginning I was shocked as the Alison pronounced Birmingham the way we pronounce it here in the U.K. IVE come across your channel and I love the way that you’re so enthusiastic about the things you’re trying
How cool are the Midlands. You don't have to travel far for some of the best scenery in the country
Every part of the UK has some amazing scenery and it's so varied.
Carl Titmus. Most towns and cities in Britain aren't far from stunning scenery. Many people just don't realise what they have on their doorstep.
I would love to visit the Midlands!..perhaps I could encounter Hyacinth and Richard Bucket ('Bouquet')! :P Much love and appreciation for years of laughter from Missouri, U.S.A.!
No, not far, just up to Yorkshire. ...
Boy, this girl can eat....not a criticism, just a comment. .
All along the backwater,
Through the rushes tall,
Ducks are a-dabbling,
Up tails all!
Ducks' tails, drakes' tails,
Yellow feet a-quiver,
Yellow bills all out of sight
Busy in the river!
I don't know why, but i'm addicted to these videos.
I've eaten a lot of Bakewell Tarts in my life, but never a Bakewell Pudding, it looks interesting. Coffee is also my friend when I find it hard to get started in the morning :)

Bakewell Tart is sacrilegious. The pudding is the real deal and traditional.
Love you guys! Thank you for taking us on your adventure!
That room you're staying in is to die for!!!
Aaaahhh yes...the cutest couple on RUclips with another "out of the ballpark" vlog. So relaxing, informative, and that view on the bike path. You guys rock!!
I love Thornbridge beers. I did the tour with my family a few years ago. Some of their medal winners, are some of the best beers the UK has to offer. And the gold medal winner is now exported to most of the beer drinking world. It has won lots of international awards too.
If you are passing that way, I heartily recommend that you go and try some of their beers because honestly, some will blow you away at just how tasty they are. My wife doesn't even drink beer, but even she had to admit that a couple of them were really tasty. My two boys loved them so much that they bought a mixed crate with varied beers.
That would be considered a light lunch for a family of four! Lol!
Exactly what I was thinking! It's way too much food for 2 people lol
Come on they're American, they can handle it 😂
That was an exceptional British tradition and it's called afternoon tea. And that one looked the best
That spread you had is what us brits call afternoon tea
A 'Gentleman's Club' means something completely different in London!.....
Great video again guys!
Just stumbled across you today & I love that you love our food & I'm so glad you are enjoying our country. I love your enthusiasm.
There are so many beautiful places around the the world but you two are reminding us that that are so many beautiful places in England

Glad you both enjoy good old British grub carry on having fun
Growing up in Nottingham I've always had the pleasure of having the Peak District on my doorstep, such a beautiful place. I am so glad you showed the true U.K. to the world with your vlogs. Good food, beautiful scenery and kind people :)
Next time you're back, you need to go to Castleton for sure!
Ah yes the Monsal Trail!
Did a bike ride with school up and down that same route, beautiful place, love the Peak District. Living in the Midlands it’s so cool to have such a breathtaking landscape steeped in history right on our doorstep.
U kids make me want 2 live this way!😄
Mr Kipling makes exceedingly good Cherry Bakewells.
Apart from you guys being cool, it's great your having a blast in our country makes good viewing. I love the videos

That sounds really nice, I will have to try one of them.
Andy Weatherhill. Oh yeah. Or bacon, brie, and caramelized red onion chutney is my fave.
You guys are legends for your passion to try and taste and enjoy different tastes and cuisines... Kudos
Thanks for just showing how amazing and awesome British food is. Cheers
That was brilliant! Thank you.
Only started watching you guys a few months ago and I love all your videos! Loving your tour of the uk at the moment, so refreshing to see tourists/visitors having such a positive view of the food and culture😊 🚗
I literally shouted at the tv “he needs more custard” that was so not enough!! 😂 Bakewell tart is one of my most favourite treats, I love it!
Another brilliant vlog thank you
When you two explore places around the U.K., did you ever think of just popping into some local supermarkets so us viewers can see what their local supermarkets have to offer in the sense of variety, quality, price and friendliness? Also, if you just grab a bunch of fresh fruit and vegetables and snack on them as you walk/drive around exploring, you might find that you're not as let down if you get to a restaurant that closed or doesn't have the healthy options that anyone's body enjoys and really needs when travelling. Just a thought.
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS/VLOGS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know this video is old and more than likely you won’t read this comment. But when you are driving in the UK. The right hand lane on a motorway is for overtaking only. If you can you must drive in the left hand lane until you need to overtake. Police can stop you for doing it if they see you coasting in the fast lane.
Love watching your videos, you are lovely positive people. Keep up the great work.
Thanks so much! We're so happy to have you adventuring with us ❤️
You always have the JAMS....keep up the good work!!!!
Wow, they have been eating ,some good food,...envious...!!
These guysa re so sweet! watched a few episodes & like their style.
One day you HAVE to sail over Llangollen Aquaduct in a canal boat. Super scary! Come back soon,we miss you 😊
the Llangollen canal is on my to do list too , its proper scary with great views and its only a 2 hour drive away from me
Only just come across your travels. You guys can surely eat LOL. And that is not meant to be a rude remark. I'm so pleased that you had such a good time here in the UK. There really is so much to see if you are prepared to search it out. Keep up the good travels and eat yourself happy.
that lunch looked amazing. making me hungry
Everything looks so yummy great video
Love watching your videos. Your commentary is great, natural, like a breath of fresh air.
Keep up the good work.❤
BTW, Bakewell tart is my favourite, & I'm starving right now. x
We have been to the pudding shop today for afternoon tea, had a great time, thanks for the recommendation guys ✌
That place looks awesome 😬👍🏻
Never heard of bakewell pudding!! Looks a lot like pecan pie, yum! Great series, really enjoying it 😁
I’m an American. I stayed in a little town called Spalding in Lincolnshire. I did not eat anything as amazing as that looked. I did have a beautiful sausage roll, fish and chips and an over cooked Kidney pie.
Im actually going to Bakewell this coming weekend and plan on going to that restaurant. i only just searched to see if anyone had done any videos about it and you two pop up (who im already subbed to) so i will defiantly go now since you were so enthusiastic about it! Cant wait!
You guys are doing England right!
Glad you had a good time and the Bakewell pudding went down well, fun to see Americans explore something so familiar to me.
Love the video and I love how both of you embrace our culture and culinary delights. I have to say how remarkably slim you guys are considering the amount of food you eat🤣🤣. Keep those vids coming 👍👍👍
I love your UK videos! Keep them coming! Though I’m always interested how you managed to drink and still get home with the car 😂
this place is epic in the summer.
Fantastic to have such enthusiasm for our food and beers. It was a real delight to watch. As for the Devonshire arms we had our honeymoon there 😄
Our food in the UK is mocked the world over.
You guys seem to like though haha.
Admittedly, it's not very exotic, or particularly healthy.
But we do have one or two good tasting things knocking about.
Look forward to the next one.
Great work you two.
Actually UK food is excellent. The bad reputation only came about after WW2 due to the effects of rationing.
rob claridge......Well part of what you're saying is right, but in what way is British food not healthy? Would you care to elaborate?
so pleased you went here. The area is amazing! :)
You two are lovely, really enjoying your tour, keep it up.
Awesome documentary guys , from Australia
2 mouth watering videos on the trot way to go folks !!
god damn you two can eat
A'up me ducks. Glad you enjoyed Derbyshire.
When they drove down Chatsworth road in Chesterfield, we got so excited
Really enjoy you're vlogs
Another great video guys, I'm not sure if you read all these comments after all there is a lot of them, but I wrote on your Birmingham video that I was born in the Birmingham area 9 miles from the city centre, near what was the car factory called British Paul and, though it did have a few names over the year, it was where the Mini was made, the factory was called The Austin by the locals. So when I saw you were in Birmingham I was like "Yea my home town". I lived in Leek for a short time so wasn't far from Buxton and Bakewell never got to try the pudding though. I now live in Wakefield West Yorkshire, I just love that you are covering more of the UK there is still so many place for you to see I really hope that you'll keep coming back and discover more and more of our Beautiful and History filled little island. Take care x
Really cool that you guys went to the Thornbridge brewery. They do some good stuff and Love Among the Ruins is a great example of a barrel aged sour beer (the wine element coming from the beers being aged in old wine barrels). That vinegar element can be off putting at first but is common in sour beers, particularly sour red ales (another prominent example being Duchess De Bourgogne).
WOW! You drove past the place I work in Chesterfield! Blew our mind!
The tart with cherry looks good. Cherries are my favorite fruit so I would probably like it. The pudding with almond also looks delicious. The Brie and cranberry sauce sandwich looks good.
another awesome vid x
I'm so happy you went to the Peak District, I LOVE that you go to place other than London! I live in Chesterfield, which is super close, so I quite often go walking down the Monsal Trail and have picnics in Bakewell.
