Charlie became my favorite character, hands down. Tyler (his actor) portrayed him so well and I wish we saw more of him than 90% of the main shitty characters.
I found it really remarkable that he still when he was pissed at Monty didn't say that he has no alibi. Probably he knows that story with Winston and didn't want to out him. Only then I could explain that he covered him so long. He's too perfect.
i definitely don't think he knew about winston, with monty's hella internalized homophobia and all - it's more probably like monty fed him some bs excuse on where he was that night and charlie decided to cover for him. or maybe monty didn't use any excuse at all and just said that charlie covered for him and charlie went along with it. we can't forget that our baby jock was friends with monty at one point.

@@notwerkinginthishouse8634 oh yeah, definitely!!! finding out someone you know did something so horrible is a strange and hard experience, but i didn't really say anything about the assault - i just pointed out that there was a point where charlie WAS friends with monty and happily covered for him until he found out all that happened. i loved charlie but he fell into the stereotypical jock category a little bit in season three (he even called tony the f slur,,, yikes)
i’m not saying monty deserved death... i’m saying he deserved eternal torture, or at least until he started to feel bad for everything he said and did :)

I don't think he knew about Winston. I mean, he didn't know that he was associated with Monty when Winston first appeared in their school.
