I think Katia started to love ivar because near the end of ep 15 when ivar is about to leave she turns around, she looks really upset and teary eyed almost like she was about to cry. Gave the impression she didnt really want him to go. however There was some truth to what katia said ivar dosent really love katia the way he claims, in his mind he mixes up katia & freydis he dosent love katia for the person she is. But that being said I do think he does care for her and kind of loves katia otherwise he wouldnt have said "I love you, whoever you are" keywords being "whoever you are" . I think If ivar had survived and returned to rus or either stayed in rus from the beginning he eventually would have truly loved katia for the person she is and not cuz she looks like freydis. That's my 2cents Anyways this edit of ivar & katia is one of the best I've seen so far

The only reason she told him he had to leave was because of Ivars feelings and him being disappointed in her when he realizes shes not Freydis at all. The show gave NO revelation, evidence, or any indication like it did with ingrid to suggest that katia's child isnt ivars. The show didnt indicate that she was pregnant before ep 12 neither is there a single evidence that she even slept with oleg after ivar from ep13-15 Katia is most definitely carrying ivars child unless the show indicates otherwise.

She wasnt using him after all and had sex with him, telling him she told him so. Why would she have sex with him for information when she was against Oleg, plus she put her life at risk for Ivar having sex with him and helping in reducing Igor, she was trapped too. I hated her when she had sex with Oleg, but I realise now, she was only ever like that or smiling over nasty stuff when hes around. Oleg clearly asked her to do that to Ivar.
