Actually the meanings relative to the 2 midwives are as follows; Shiphrah (Hebrew #8236 from Strongs concordance) means "Fair, brightness, beauty" same as Hebrew #8235 which is "fairness, clearness." Puah means (Hebrew #6326) means "Splendid" and comes from an unused root meaning "Glitter" or "Brilliancy." I studied these 2 midwives over 15 or more years ago relative the Lord birthing something New within the church. They actually have similar meanings.
