We were snowed in dishes for 2 days. Almost 8 inches and ice. Our food bank was closed. You guys always have the best hauls. Just a great food pantry. 😊
You can grate and rinse off the starch and squeeze the water out and freeze batches of those potatoes for hashed browns or sometimes I make quiche and use grated potatoes and butter or oil as the crust. You have to bake the crust of this in a pie pan first and then add the egg mixture. Also probably could make roasted potatoes or parboiled and freeze. I haven’t solved the too many potatoes dilemma yet. I usually freeze any veggies I get extra for tossing in various meals like soups or casseroles if they freeze well. Lucky to have the bread store to save on your bread. I just had to buy mine and was like geez I need to just cut out bread bc it’s so expensive. (Or make my own but really I can stand to lose some weight so may have a budget/diet meeting with myself). It’s hard when you use the food bank.
Great tip regarding the mashed potatoes, thank you. Darcy makes the best soups, and this is sure the season for it. Stay warm and take good care of your sweet family.

Hello from Wisconsin
Hello Wisconsin. I hope you are staying warm.
I wish we still had a bread store . I used to go all the time. Good haul. You have such nice long hair. How do you keep it so nice.
This bread store is 2 towns over but that is where the pantry is too. So we try to get every thing in .
looks like french fruit flans they lacquer the berries to make them shine
These berries were not glazed as I know what you are talking about. I wish they had been.
If the strawberries were still good, you could cook them with sugar for a jam.
I herd few years back I think penilvania had 3 feet snow once I'm glad I don't like over there
We have come close to that boy is it not fun I'm glad we are only getting a few inches 🙂
Some people can't get to a pantry.
