All he has to do is go to his local VA. They are getting so much better treating vets. He can get psychological counseling and help him with drug addiction as well. If he doesn’t get the care, that’s on him.

Trying to exhaust you so you don't get your benefits. The country has not gotten better at treating vets. It's a shame but it's true. Our money should be going to vets not these wars overseas that we shouldn't even be sticking our noses in.

Had this been any average citizen I'd have no issue with the 60-days in jail. But they've already established that this guy has mental issues due to a brain injury. He doesn't belong in jail. That's never going to help him and he clearly does need help. This is a huge problem with our legal system. We treat mental issues like a crime when they're not. The guy needs help, not punishment.

This dude was actually shot in the shoulder by accident by the Reno PD in 2020. After a Washoe County Sheriff Deputy fired his taser at Sheahan, missed, hit the Reno PD officer, who in turn shot Sheahan in the shoulder. This dude is on a separate level of existence at this point.

As somebody who does security at a hospital, these are the scariest kind of patients to deal with.
You can only imagine how the other patients at that hospital feel. At least you get to go home after your shift but they can't. And often they are roomed 2 or more together. =-( It's scary what those in charge are willing to do to save a few bucks with the full knowledge of what will most likely happen.

I used to be an EMT. One time we responded to a suicidal vet who had taken some sort of speed/amphetamine stimulant. It took both of us and 4 officers to subdue him to get him cuffed and on our stretcher. He wasn't even as jacked like this guy, meanwhile he had near superhuman strength and literally picking up officers and throwing them off him. It was like a scene out of the Matrix

You 100% thought the same thing I did when watching this. My first thought was meth and/or steroids but 6 minutes in when he kept talking about weapons and shouting orders I changed my mind and started to think PTSD from combat and possibly drugs to self medicate. It's sad because it's hard to tell the difference and you have to make split second decisions in these situations. I just hope he gets the help he needs. Thank you for your service ❤

This is just sad... I'm a combat veteran and had painkiller issues about 12 years ago and didn't act much different when I had a police altercation in 2014... I got into a bar fight and stayed at the scene and ended up getting into a scrap with 3 police officers.
Thankfully I was able to do inpatient care at the VA, it changed my life completely. I wish this guy the best
