All in all, I think both of them got a slap on the wrist. 11 years is a joke, and she should've received a harsher punishment as well, not just for covering up for her husband, but given her son had older injuries, it means he was being abused and she didn't raise alarm. I always say there's a fine line between religion and cult, and a lot of African Christians and churches are teetering at the edge of that line.
