I can definitely see what you mean, but considering both of them were historical figures and both of them have children (both in-game and in history) I don't think Koei is going to do that any time soon Like I said though, from their interactions, your conclusion is far from unfounded

It was the natural etiquette of upper class samurai. This was true not only for samurai but also for Rome and Greece. Please don't judge based on modern values, it was normal back then.
