It’s an older proverb I’m repurposing. Trust me, they'll be able to tell you drive like someone who lives in LA.
Welcome back to driving with your favorite agitated driver in Los Angeles capturing all those crazy bad drivers for your pleasure.
What is my favorite clip? Oh thanks for asking hehe. Well from running red lights, reversing into me, cutting me off, driving in the rain… I think the old corvette, or whatever that car is, that was basically weaving in and out of the one lane and one parking lane on Crescent Heights was insane. Runner up though is the vegan advertisement projected and now I’m giving them even more visibility. Oh, and third place is seeing Lisa Vanderpump get out of her car, even though you can only see her for a split second in the beginning of that clip. I just feel like a secondhand reality TV star by seeing them.

You can get just about anything for a 1955-70ish full size Chevy two-door hardtop. But it's only original once.

@8:24 - The funeral procession on the freeway. When my Dad passed, they had to transport him from Gardena to to Riverside. (He's buried @ the Riverside National Cemetery). I was stationed in the Pilippines when he passed, came home on emergency leave for the funeral, so I don't know what route they took, but I imagine it was the 91 freeway.
Got it, so they did that because he was buried at a different location than the place where the ceremony occurred?
LA doesn't even seem fun to drive in. Just very annoying.

People complain about LA drivers can't drive in the rain. Lived just north of Detroit for about 8 years. The first snow fall, cars are sliding all over the place. I just had to laugh. No better than we are.

La Cienega is such a nightmare in the afternoon! Idk how people can survive driving through there. Same thing for the 405 and 10 freeways. BDGLA 34 will feature Santa Monica, Marina del Rey and Venice, which I'll release sometime in June. Great video!

I agree!! i used to go to SMC in Santa Monica and shit there's always traffic in MAJOR intersections no matter what time it is LOL! and yes people drive like idiots all the time. Reminds me when i was driving Mexico city almost a like on how they drive here in L.A.
To me, one of the signs of maturity is letting little things go. Disconnect your fucking horn already, leave the house a few minutes early, and you'll live a happier life.
I think I've improved with my road rage since I was a teenager.
My wife is from L.A. and tells me about how bad it is to drive over there (I'm born and raised in south Louisiana). I told her it couldn't be that bad...I was wrong.

5:13 to 5:43 Actually going all the way to the end of a merging lane and hugging the shoulder stripe when you merge, although rude, is a more efficient use of space and reduces the length of the backup.

I just came back from Los Angeles last weekend to watch a family member of mine graduate from USC. I got to experience the horrible driving. It was horrific. Everyone was just cutting close and just are careless. Driving in LA was scary. The traffic can also get hectic. Overall, I liked it though... Nice episode.

I have no first-hand experience with driving in California, so I can't say who's more aggressive. But NJ drivers ARE very aggressive. Especially in the North Eastern region near New York City.
Teamwork makes the dream work, I'm gonna use that.
On the plus side, I don't feel so bad about driving in Houston anymore. Now, if I still lived in Dallas I might give you a run for your money, but LA has Houston beat.
Motorcycle funeral escorts aren't necessarily police even if they do wear uniforms and have flashing lights on their bikes. Some can be private funeral escort services even. I believe the usual idea behind having two cycles, however, is for the lead cyclist to run ahead just a bit, block cross traffic at the next intersection, and the cycle behind then runs up to the front to do the same at the intersection after that. In general, the idea is to keep the procession moving and ultimately get OUT of traffic with minimal disruption.
Oh that makes sense because I was surprised you could just buy out cops like that. I could see how they're not exactly cops, but part of an escort service.

I actually got break checked at a light. Car let me merge in behind a truck (Which was the first one at the light) due to traffic, and I had to get pretty close to him. Light changed, he moved a foot and a half and hit his breaks. Sure as shit I rear ended him. If it wasn't for the fact that I had a dash cam, I'd have been liable. Instead he's the one owing for the $10,000 in damages to my car. Dumbass didn't even have insurance, I don't feel sorry for him at all.
I have never seen traffic back up ever like that. Though maybe that's because I'm from Central Alberta, and as Canadians we're polite enough to make sure there's options to get off every however many feet lmao.

I don't know, maybe because they look at the good parts too? You can't focus on only the bad parts of things if you want to enjoy life.

When assholes don't merge on the freeway and decide to try to get farther up, I genuinely enjoy it when people (myself included) refuse to allow them to merge.

Today a semi driver thought that it was a good idea to reverse across a small, very busy road for 3 minutes from a gas station to someone's lawn/driveway.
That's insane, I would have gotten so furious for him blocking the road for that long. Grr.
I live in south Orange County and have even been on some of those streets and freeway (usually in a bus or shuttle van). My modus operandi for going to L.A. is to drive to the train station and take the train to Union Station, then the light rail to get about - especially since it is usually just me and I am going to places easily served by the L.A. light rail system. And if I go to LAX, it is by shuttle van. By and large, drivers are self-absorbed dolts who are sure they are the only ones that matter and will do anything to get that one extra car space ahead, even if it makes no difference to the length of their commute. Hence my desire to stay off the road.

I love this channel since I do live in the area where you usually end up driving at, and do see all these people drive like idiots 🙄 I capture most of it but end up deleting it because it takes so much time to edit and upload, glad you have this channel!

One with traffic jam, yep, got that here in Michigan as well. Especially on M59 eastbound afternoon after 2 pm. Mile after mile. Bad if you got 1/8 of a tank left.
La Cienega looks like a nightmare.

And this is why I moved to a small town in Kentucky. Well also because it is cheap AF, people are chill, and shit ton of jobs in Lexington, which is only a 10 minute drive and even in rush hour, it's never a parking lot. Just go with the flow.

I would probably choose an area where I didn't have to make that kind of commute and I would try being in walking distance if possible for work etc... save myself the fuel money

I live in a rural area so traffic as bad as 6:29 that isn't caused by an accident confuses and frustrates me. Thankfully traffic in Charlotte, NC generally doesn't get that bad.
That happens all the time, completely dead stopped on the freeway for no reason.

One time (interestingly on my last day of driving school) my dad was driving me home

We get to this intersection (it’s like 7:15) that was empty besides a few cars in the turning lane for a Walmart
In a SUV (i think it was an escape) in the turning lane we couldn’t see started to go into the neighborhood and both my dad and the SUV just slammed the brakes

Yes, I didn't realize how bad that one section can get, especially when you get trapped. Also maps tries to direct you on that route... It is not worth it!

what i dont get is why not give some room to the truck drivers? People never learn if you see a truck it is not there because he likes to drive there but he is working and give him/her some room to manouver 2:06 and beyond, Truck is backing up, noo i am in a hurry let me cut you and dissapear because the truckdriver cant see you! Take a 2 minute break dont give a truck driver a heart attack and relax in your car Please :D
