One of the most profoundly beautiful songs I've heard in my 50 some years on Earth. Kalandra has a distinctive sound but a wide range. To hear their harder side the live video of Lullaby is great. For more in this vein try Virkelighetens Etterklang. It's in Norwegian and like Borders is hauntingly gorgeous. Their covers of Warduna's Helgeven and Rockettothesky's Grizzly Man are also not to be missed. Love this band! I've yet to hear a song from Kalandra I haven't liked. So glad you finally got back to them.

Thanks for your reaction and thoughts. :) Their cover of “Helvegen” is worth a listen, too.
“Kalandra: In essence, the song [Borders] is about witnessing your own vulnerability in comparison to the massive forces that move the world. The video tries to convey that feeling through several intertwining narratives.”
Kalandra continue, “As humans on this Earth we wish to control our surroundings so that life can be a little bit more predictable. Inevitably we’ll all be confronted with our own death and must find acceptance through seeing the world as it truly is.”

Loved this so much... you can tell there is a strong tradition of elves and faerys in this part of the world... it Is reflected in the Nordic sound of these vocalists. Ancient echoes in the modern world, which taps into the soul and links us up with our pagan past... beautiful 😍

Very angelic, and although the words are in English, it sounds very Gaelic to me in it's atmosphere. Especially in the beginning, therefore this gorgeous performance of Kalandra. Noticed you the same feelings during the song ? Dark and deep, but also light in some sound phrases.

A very good song and beautiful voice. Tell the truth I never watched the video on 1st run, just listened..Great reaction guys. Thx...
