This might seriously be my favorite thing ever. I played come Sunday by Omar Thomas in my freshman year of high school and loved it. This year we’re playing Dope by Katahj Copley. This reminds me of a more intense mixture of those two pieces. Just thinking about some of these parts make me smile.
This former euphonium player approves of the virtuoso treatment lavished on this section in this work. Also: I have never seen placement of euph section in center of ensemble like this. Makes sense as an anchoring element. Bravos all around.
