- At the outset of 2019, we covered one of the most beautiful and grand weddings in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Sadia, textile tycoon Abdul Wahed's daughter got married to Abraar, an investment banker from an aristocratic family of Rajshahi, Bangladesh.
What started with an arranged marriage match for Sadia & Abraar, led to multiple meetings, and eventually they fell in love. Sadia says he treats her like a crown on his head, while he says she has changed his life in all beautiful ways.
The wedding festivities spanned for four days, the events were - Holud (Haldi), Sangeet, Reception. Sadia & Abraar already had their Nikaah earlier 6 months before these celebrations. The first day was Holud, and it was lavish and joyous affair, and when Mika Singh was also in the house, one can only see the energy and spirit at sky-high. The next was sangeet at Abraar’s house, and it was yet another fun event. It was followed by the wedding which happened at Radisson Blu, Dhaka. All the other functions were in Pan Pacific, Sonargaon, Dhaka. The striking decor was the major highlight in this wedding. Thanks to Sadia & Abraar and their families who gave us so many fond memories and loads of stories.

Very stupid and uneducated family
A lot of people seem to have a problem with people in the film speaking in English and receiving unnecessary hate. One major reason is that some members of our team were non-Bengalis and the interviews are candid conversation and not rehearsed dialogues. English was the common language that connected us all. Language is just a means of communication, and English is a global language that lets people connect from across different nations. We will welcome criticism if you have any on our work and filmmaking process and hate comments against the family are not welcome. About the accent, all the people who seem to have a western accent are because of their education or employment or both in respective countries.
The two families have been one of the most humble and hospitable families we had the opportunity to work with despite their wealth. It's not the language, nor the wealth that makes someone great, but the purity of their heart. We hope our friends and viewers from Bangladesh can uphold the same love that we received from both the families.

What is wrong with people in the comments section? Why are they so jealous? Is it that shocking that a country like Bangladesh can have smart, well educated families? As far as I know there is no law against speaking English. Some of us grew up in an English speaking background and as a result we are more comfortable with English than Bangla. So what if we didn't have the same upbringing as you guys. Geez learn to widen your mentality and be more accepting. Not all of us grew up in a village in case you guys weren't aware!
I understand you. I grew up in Spain so I'm much more comfortable speaking Spanish than bangla but I try my best to speak my own language, cause we have one and that's not English. The problem is with parents that think that English is better than bangla so they try much harder to teach English to their kids. I would say that smart and well educated is not someone who can just speak English. At least from my point of view I think that whoever speaks standard bangla nowadays is more smarter, it takes much more effort since we've been losing our pure language. Please don't misunderstand me I'm just giving my opinion 🧡 No hate.

Some info for all the hyper-nationalist Bengalis going crazy over their use of English. The groom's family are non-Bengali Bangladeshis and many foreigners were involved in this wedding planning which is why Bangla was not used. The bride's family are Bengalis which is why her father spoke in Bengali. Get the nonsense hypernationalism out of your minds and try understanding the context. Bangladesh isn't exclusively made up of full Bengali speakers
