HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 2 июл 2024
- In this video, I challenged myself to use a suitcase full of non-Christmas items purchased at a Goodwill Clearance Outlet (and the suitcase itself) to DIY Christmas home decor. The items include a metal votive candle wall decor, a vintage wood level, an odd angled drawer, a placemat, alphabet blocks, a velvet pillow sham, a silver sugar bowl missing its lid, a brass bowl, a pink flower, a small faux succulent, a cork frame, a book missing its cover, and a glass vase. I hope you’ll watch the video to see the Christmas decor I created from this hodge Podge of items!

Was the suitcase your favorite project, too? I always love knowing what you liked best!😊
That suitcase was definitely my favorite!
Since my daddy was a carpenter, I was especially drawn to the vintage level!! But ALL of these projects were so cool!! I love your idea of the challenge!! And I really love your decor style with all the bits and pieces!!
The nativity was my favorite. Very clever.
I love all your projects but my favorite is the cone trees made with the table mat. It’s something I can make with my 8 year old niece. You are so creative.
I loved the little baby block snow man!!
Your Nativity scene was my favorite! So creative. Thank you for saving those items from the landfills.
They’re all great ideas! I really liked the wreath with driftwood and the deer; and the little cork frame with the Santa & mushrooms. So cute!
Absolutely BRILLIANT use of the drawer and Holy family!!!
Yes…one of my favorites too!!
That one was my favorite too!
LOVED the Holy Family in the odd shaped drawer…you certainly have an eye for the possibilities of everything!
That was my favorite too!
With each new piece, I thought, there is no way she can make it look Christmassy. But you did! Such an imagination! Thank you, Judy
Thank you so much, Judy!☺️
The holiday styled level was my favorite and a fun surprise.
It is so hard to choose just one favorite. They are all so darling. I will say I am absolutely smitten with the Nativity in the little drawer. Oh Holy Night is my favorite Christmas hymn. ✨
Thank you, JB! I agree, if someone with a great voice is singing “Oh Holy Night,” it is so moving!
@@CanterburyCottage My son sings opera; his rendition of Oh Holy Night brings a tear to my eyes.
What an amazing way to reuse that placemat! I would've never thought of that. Your imagination amazes me!
Thank you! I was lucky that the placemat came apart so easily. I wasn’t sure if it was going to work or not!
My favorite, if I had to choose just one, is the sweet deer sitting on the piece of driftwood, inside the metal hoop.
Loved them all, and watched you create with a huge smile on my face.
Aww, thank you, Merry Bee! That little flocked deer made that wreath. I saw that Target has similar deer in stock this Christmas!
My favorite was the nativity! So clever!
I loved how you used the funny little drawer as a creche.
Your vision of turning used items into Christmas decor is absolutely amazing
WOW! How can I choose a favorite? They are all awesome but that suitcase flip - amazing!!!
I love all of these Sherry, you really do some awesome and creative items. No favourite because I think they are all beautiful. TFS.
Love, love, love your earrings! Each project in this video is more splendifferous than the last! Thanks for all you do for us, Ms. Sherry!!
Thank you! They are in with the Christmas crafting supplies at Hobby Lobby.😊
@@CanterburyCottage Also, every time you say, "Let's get started!" I am so excited to see what you have for us this week!
We appreciate you!
Everything was so creative but the level was adorable!
The suitcase, the drawer, the wreath! Actually all transformations were incredible!
How can I possibly pick a favorite? You did a fantastic job on each project. You have such amazing talent. It is such a treat and learning experience to listen and watch you. You must be so very proud of your beautiful work. Congratulations on a job so very well done. Thank you for showing us...we are so very impressed. Happy Holidays! Sincerely Debbie and Dexter-Dog my amazingly funny cuddly smart rescued Chihuahua companion living a very quiet crafty life in southern California. 🙏👍🏡🎄🎅🌲🎄🙏🌲💝💝😄
You are so so sweet, Debbie! Thank you for those kind comments. I love how you always write that you and Dexter are “living a very quiet crafty life”!❤️
Love all projects but the suitcase is just adorable!
Thank you, Angelica! I was thinking that I can pack everything up inside the suitcase after Christmas, and it will be ready to go next year! 😜
Yup, I have to say the nativity scene was the best and very creative! The use of that drawer was pretty amazing...
Thank you, Niki! I’m just so glad that I didn’t fracture the Holy family!
Definitely, the suitcase is my favorite piece. They all are great ideas, but the suitcase is my favorite. ❤
Thank you, Debbie! 😊
Oh Sherry - these were all so wonderful! It’s always so fun to watch you exercise your creative powers! 😉
I really like, and admire, your ability to see use and purpose in random and cast-off items! Great job!
Thank you so much, Melissa! That is so kind of you to say! 😊
I think my favorite is the level. However I do like the “ugly” cork bowl lol
Thanks, Sharen! My husband was with me at the Goodwill Outlet, and he could not believe that I bought that cork frame. I’m going to let him know that you liked it!😜
I’m convinced that there isn’t anything that you can’t improve and beautify. It’s such a special skill.
These were amazing transformations! My absolute favorite was the nativity in the drawer. It was beautiful 🙏🏼 They all were fantastic though.
Thank you so much, Shelly! 😊
As per usual, it is so hard to pick just one favorite! The nativity and the level are tied for 1st place for me, so creative. Love the whole video! Much love from California ❤
Too hard to pick a favorite! I love them all!
I love all the problem solving you show us through this video!!
Oh my goodness, I loved the nativity the best. All of your projects are so creative.❤
Oh the tree from the placemat! It was wonderful - very pretty!
I have to agree here. That was my favourite one.
Every time you start another item I think 'oh dear, this one is going to be a bit tacky' and it NEVER is! You just have unending creativity, taste and class 😍
You never cease to amaze me with your ideas. All are beautiful.
Thank you, Jo! 😊
Thanks again for more abundantly creative ideas that are simple, affordable, and lovely.
Absolutely gorgeous recycled thrift store finds. The suitcase was my favorite. TFS your creativity and inspiration. ❤🎄
Had two favorites, suitcase and the decorated level. Must say that I am still in awe of the suitcase that you inserted a clock and placed in your family room. When I see a small suitcase I think of you and your creativity and so many talents. Thank you for expanding our minds and sharing your talent.
Thank you, Laura! I still have that suitcase/clock sitting on top of my bookcase! I’m so glad you liked it, too! 😊
The placemat conversion to cover tree is my favoite.
Beautiful. I love them all
Loved the suitcase!
I love all the DYIs. The drawer with naivety scene is beautiful 🎄
Loved them all of these my favorite was drawer and the suitcase what a brilliant idea for both❤️
I absolutely love the first piece! And the cork grotto. And the block snowman! The suitcase is my favorite. Thank you.
I love the suitcase, but it’s impossible to choose a favourite. All the ideas are great and the results are incredible. Thanks for the inspiration 🎄
Awww, thank you, Daniele! You are so sweet!
Another round of amazing decor! My favorite is the tree made from the placemat.
Thanks you, Christine! 😊 I got lucky that the placemat came apart so easily!
Your arrangements are so amazing! You have an absolute gift of seeing the potential in objects. The cone tree wrapped in a deconstructed place mat is genius. I am in awe!
Thank you, Ellen! I got lucky. I didn’t know if the placemat tree idea would work. I got lucky that the placemat came apart so easily.
As always you are the Queen of Creativity! And your artistic instincts are spot on! Such beauty from Goodwill Bins! Joy to the World!
Thank you so much! 😊
Hi from the UK. Your imagination must be absolutely fantastic, the amazing ideas you have ❤. Loved everything and feel inspired to try some of these myself. My favourite was the metal hoop with the foliage and the deer ❤
Thank you! That little flocked deer really made the wreath. I noticed that Target is selling similar looking ones this Christmas.
All your projects are sooooo good it’s impossible to choose just one!!! 😊
Love the suitcase!!!
Your creativity is absolutely amazing Sherry 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️
Lady, I love and admire your talent so much! I’m such a fan!❤️👏
Thank you so much, Janine! 😊
I love watching your videos because you do not make junk. I wish I could copy just about everything you create. Sometimes I think some RUclips creators throw anything together just to make a video and end up with something I would be ashamed of. Yours always look high end and beautiful.
Your vision never ceases to amaze me☺️
You always amaze me. Just beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful week.♥️🌟🎄
I think you are the only person on this earth that COULD make a silk purse outta a Sows EAR :)) I always watch every video at the least 3 times. The last years bird houses, snow men outta blocks, the houses you put on wood and added the songs on the front of them and then you kept them for yourself! LOL I loved all of them. Your Christmas Tour.(Last Year's). Goodness. The detail of each project is just amazing. I have never seen anyone do what you do to the extent you do it. Thank You for everything Sherry. God Bless, Love, Rebekah.
Oh, thank you so much, Rebekah! You are too kind! The little Christmas houses made from bird houses is one of my all time favorite projects. I had SO much fun the week I made them. I am so glad that you liked them, too! I have an idea of something along those lines that I want to try to make this year, but I haven’t quite figured it out yet.🤞
@@CanterburyCottage ❤
Sherry, it is difficult to pick a favorite. I am always amazed at how creative you are with the most random items. great job as usual.
Thank you, Marie! 😊
the placemat up cycle is my favorite - all awesome ideas!
Wow! You hit it out of the park this week- every project is amazing and so beautifully done...Love it all!
Oh, thank you! 😊
Sherry your creativity knows no bounds!!! Your projects are ALWAYS BEAUTIFUL!!! It was difficult to select a favorite but the metal wreath with the greenery and deer was exquisite. Your use of the small drawer with the Holy Family was genius!! The shape of the drawer was PERFECT as the manger!!! And your added touches were precious!! Your treatment of the dingy pink flowers and brass bowl was gorgeous! It's awe inspiring what you can do with a little glitter, adhesive and greenery! I could go on and on but then I'd be writing a book. Thank you very much Sherry for sharing your incredible talent with us. God bless you and your family. 🥰🤩👍🏽🎄❄️🦌💕
I know ur mind never shuts down...never seen anyone as creative as u are...u amaze me with what u come up with
Thank you, Deronda! 😊
You never cease to amaze me with your creativity! I can’t pick just one favorite! I love them all.
Love the suitcase!
Sherry you are such a talented lady and I love your art. I could never choose one. I love them all. Love and prayers. Beautiful job
Thank you, Renee! Sending love and prayers your way, too!
Oh my word, Sherry, I've only watched the first one and already I'm blown away! I never would have thought to take apart the placemat, and what a gorgeous tree you have made of it! The creche-in-a-drawer is so cool, and just as I was longing for a star, you added one. Glad to see Santa visits even cork hobbit houses! The glass vase looks so attractive with the mint syrup label. And the suitcase shadow box is astounding! Kudos and have a happy!
Oh, thank you so much, Gina! I was relieved that the placemat came apart so easily, and I was really surprised at how much area it covered. That cone is pretty tall!
Beautiful all of the items. You are so creative and meticulous in your work. Thank you.
I love all of your projects ❤️💙❤️ you are truly blessed with a gift. I enjoy watching your videos. I even watch your reruns.
Thank you, Shaun! I appreciate you watching the “reruns,” too! 😜
Love everything you did. You never disappoint!!
Your creativity is so inspiring! I love ALL the beautiful decorations you made!
aka.MIDGE. You are soooooo good! The suitcase makeover is lovely. Have a wonderful, blessed and Happy Thanksgiving!!
@@joepeter0157 What's your question?
They are all so good I can’t choose a favorite!
Awesome, my favorites are the pink flower arrangement and the drawer nativity scene. The suitcase was cool, but my love of vintage luggage was saying oh no. I have several suitcases and a couple of make-up travel cases, I use the suitcases to store my paperback books that I haven't read yet. Before the pandemic, we had a place called the Clothes Closet, where you could fill your brown paper bags for $3 so I am well stocked in reading material. The elderly ladies that ran it closed up, I am so sad, sometimes I found some really nice treasures. Anyway, I enjoyed watching you create, thank you.
I was a little hesitant to tear out the pink lining, but it was really stained and smelled bad. I, too, love little thrift stores like the Clothes Closet, and the sweet old ladies who run them! 🥰
The nativity was beautiful and the wood block snowman was ADORABLE ⛄️
I’m blown away with your creativity. I love them all. ❤
Awww, thank you, Margaret! 😊
Love the challenge, definitely makes the creative juices flow. The level was my fav! 💕
The wreath is stunning and the Holy family in a drawer is fantastic! Velvet star and suitcase look great! Well done!
Thank you, Louise! 😊
I have been praising your channel to my daughter for awhile now! Recently she started to follow you and she thinks you are the sweetest person and she loves your DIY’s! This challenge highlights the creativity you bring to your projects! As I am down sizing this year, I will look at my odd items with this challenge in mind! Blessed thanksgiving!
Sherry, you never ever cease to amaze me with your creativity. I really liked the tree made with the placemat, the wreath, and the blue velvet blue tree and star. Always such fun to see you at work.
Thank you, Barbara! 😊
Every single thing you created was just absolutely amazing and adorable! I love your videos so much. ❤️🌟❤️
Oh, thank you so much, Maria! 😊
You really think outside the box with your creations. Thank you for sharing
Sherry, you made the prettiest things , literally out of junk. My fav is the suitcase and then the little block snowman!!! Thank ypu❤
As always, great upcycled projects!
Everything is always too pretty to choose a favorite! I loved them ALL.
Thank you for being so very innovative and creative. You are truly an inspiration and I'm super happy that RUclips recommended your videos. I loved all of your ideas. It's hard to pick a favourite, but removing the stable from the nativity scene and unpicking the placemat were next level. Thank you so much! 💓
I swear I could watch you craft for hours on end! I've said it before, but it's so true- you make absolute magic out of the most mundane things. It inspires me to see basic junk in a whole new way! Thank you so much, and please don't ever stop sharing your beautiful creations!! ❤️
Aww, thank you, Renee! You are so so sweet! I really appreciate those kind words. Happy Thanksgiving!
Love the drawer. Actually loved them all!
Good evening, Sherry! Oh my gravy! Your Christmas upcycles are simply enchanting. Your imagination is a fountain of creativity! Every single makeover is clever and beautifully designed. I especially love the Christmas village in the old suit case. Thank you for inspiring. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. ❤, Bobbie. xoxo.
Good evening, Bobbie! 😊 Thank you! This was a fun video. That suitcase of Goodwill items had been sitting on my craft room floor for two months!😜 Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, too!
Nativity was my favorite, but I think that everything was so good! 🎄⛄🦌☺️🥰
My favorite is the cone tree covered with woven placemat. Thanks for sharing ❣️
Sherry does it again! Thank you so much for the work you put into your channel, inspiring, entertaining and consistently stylish! 🇬🇧💗
That is so kind of you, Mandy! Thank you! 😊
You are so talented!! Love everything you do!
They are all fabulous, but my favourite has to be the metal wreath with wood and reindeer
My favorites were the deer/metal wreath and the holy night family drawer.
Your work is absolutely beautiful. Love it 🖤
Thank you so much! 😊
All gorgeous recreations, well done. So clever
The old wooden level was really cute!
The block snowman is darling. I also love the wreath.
So pretty! I really liked the wreath!
Thank you, Michelle! I think the little deer made the wreath. I noticed that Target has similar deer in stock this Christmas.
So creative love them all!
My goodness you have really fired my imagination!! I believe I will never walk into a thrift store again without completely NEW eyes!!
Thank you so very much for this!! That’s what I’ve been missing, awakened creativity!!
WOW just wow. Loved all of it. The first tree you made from the placemat was amazing. It was all fabulous.
Thank you, Melissa! I got lucky that the placemat was pretty easy to take apart!
