      Regardless of political loyalty, people who think, that an ideology that is build on never ending growth on a limited world can work, must be some kind of ignorant and has some kind of acceptance of proto-autocraty, and later autocraty and dictatorship itself. Even if you despise the USSR, which is fair, it is not a reason against socialism. It just says you do not like this special form, which is fully understandable, cause it was designed for an unindustrialized russia, not for the whole of the later eastern world. There were many alternative ideas in the past and they still exist now.

      When the Soviets were killed from within and without, the world lost the hope which their founders had inspired across the world; a world of empathy and compassion which was devoid of exploitation and strife.
      Instead, we live in a world of endless exploitation, greed, and sociopathy. The USSR may have been a flawed project but it was inspired by the best of us. It will be a long time before we can hope to have that vision for a better future again

      IMO, one of biggest hindrances to better future might be family as we know it, because every one in modern society is divided by families and naturally everyone would do most for themselves and their families even if it causes others to suffer. In such society capitalism naturally evolves and suits this society best (which is why soviet people crushed USSR - every single one wanted to live better than others), which causes social tensions up to wars.
      But traditional family was not always this way, it's not only form of human living. See Engels "The Origin of the Family, Private Property and the State"
      Maybe there is hope, but I think people give themselves too much credit thinking, they could easily build better society and world to live in without giving up their dearest.

    This artwork shows that the western and capitalist ideologies were never the true "good side", but an option. I belive that a global socialism wouldn't be as bad as most people think. It is an other option to live our daily lives.

    • @Константин-ъ8п2л
      @Константин-ъ8п2л Год назад +1

      This is not just an option, it is the only opportunity to resolve the accumulated contradictions in the current system of socio-economic relations. Socialism, and then communism, will inevitably replace capitalism, which is becoming obsolete, with the proper development of the productive forces. Because the relations of production (the oppression of man by man) will increase their lagging behind technical progress to a critical level.

    • @rasp.74
      @rasp.74 3 года назад +4

      Utter horseshit, lol - imagine thinking that we couldn't strive and feel drive to do and be better if there isn't an element of slaughtering each other. It has been an aspect of our behavior moving forward, but war is not a driver of progress - it has desecrated progress that then gets erased by history by the 'victors' in war. Warmongers are the infants of the species, the least advanced and most blind.

    • @themagalanium9491
      @themagalanium9491 3 года назад +2

      @@rasp.74 let me say this. European "tribes" or nations with their close proximity to each other cause them to rapidly advance against each in order to get an edge and to prove their nation as the strongest or best to others. So this arms race caused innovation and while brutal and a very horrible way to put it, you can't deny the fact that European empires ruled the world for the last centuries because of that strive to outdue their neighbours and constantly militarize to become on top. I'm not saying it's impossible to build a better future without war, but humanity while still being fairly infantile even now, war was and still is a mother of invention. Now of course money incentive mixed with a national belonging has replaced a great portion of that void, but it's still there

    • @pragavirtual
      @pragavirtual 3 года назад +1

      Most medical and tecnological advancements comes from the necessity of wars. Necessary evil. Just as profit is the major incentive of new tecnologies in peace time. Profit is the price the consumer has to pay for advancement, on the other side, of no incentive for doing anything, theres no inovation which has an astonishing higher price than paying the profit.

    • @ch1gga22

      @@rasp.74 global conflicts breed innovation from necessity, world war two advanced transportation, nuclear physics, created the jet engine, created the modern computer, and that's only off top of my head, war has always creating innovation because when your life is on the line you will inherently be more productive
