However, the main theme gradually outshines its reversal, representing the eventual triumph of the Cascadian people over the Federation forces. Pavli, you magnificent bastard.

In the comments for the Eminent Domain track, Jose said it was the leitmotif for "The Sky". He mentioned that he would talk about it in part 2 of his Making Of video.
From 2:32 to 3:58 , the general chord progression that I've figured out seems to be EbMaj7-Gmin7-FMaj-FMaj x3, then the 4th phrase is EbMaj7-Cmin7-Dmin7-DMm7. Awesome job by Jose here.
This song starts off very similar to Ace Combat 6's "Through the Heart of a Nation" but rather languishing in the tension, it develops into a full on battle song. When the Theme makes its full reprise at the most intense part, the song transforms into a hymn of mourning and hope, straining to be heard, only to be washed away by the intensity of the fight as the atmosphere gets more desperate.
I just downloaded the alpha demo. My friend is trying to get me into this game and showed me “coronation”... I swear, I will literally play this game exclusively to hear the soundtrack. That bit at 3:07 in the first mission sold it for me. (At least as long as I can beat the missions in the demo...)
Man, I can probably almost hear the allied tanks and aircraft slowly liberating a certain city with much needed aid from Hitman Team, all while the Feddie AA defenses, tanks, aircraft, and warships get clobbered by the dozen. If possible, maybe Crimson Squadron will finally fall from the skies in this battle.
I have JUST noticed, after a full year of listening to PWs soundtrack that Monarch's AND Crimson 1's leitmotifs are actually featured in presidia too! C1's was the more noticeable one at the end with the intense violins, like a sinister lurk, but monarch's was harder to find because it was "split up" at the beginning of the soundtrack and my non-musical dummy brain never noticed it until I one day I switched from Magma Carta to Presidia. That and having Monarch at the start and C1 at the end is really fitting, almost like the music is predicting the end of the fight. Its like poetry. Anyways, even after all these months, Jose Pavli still manages to surprise me with his music. I love it.
4:33 reminds me a lot of Ace Combat Zero's "Stage of Apocalypse". This track has the perfect combination of heroism, ominousness, and finality, very fitting to what is the final battle of the war (the following dogfight wasn't really part of the war). This song has earned a special place among my favorite videogame tracks, kudos to Jose!
Wait, what? It was absolutely part of the war. He was the Federation's top ace, and he'd just used the weapons the Federation had armed him with, knowing exactly what they would do. Instead of operating like in the previous use of the super-nukes--requiring codes and authorization directly from both the High Command and the commander in the field--they loaded him up with nukes that he could use entirely on his own. The war wasn't over until...well, actually, the war probably never ended. The Federation just went back on its word and violated the ceasefire with a massive WMD strike that they'd equipped a single guy for (without any safeties or checks preventing him from just using them on his own however he wanted), causing a second calamity in the span of a few months and murdering hundreds of thousands of civilians (and destroying a major city....yet again). I'm pretty sure Cascadia would be calling for the Federation's absolute destruction at that point, and I'm pretty sure the rest of the world would agree. And lots of former member-nations of the Federation (some of whom were forced into joining) would be quick to appease the rest of the world to avoid their wrath and perhaps place themselves in the best position possible for a post-Federation world.
Hi Jose, I’d like to say you’re a very big inspiration of mine. Your music is absolutely incredible and it’s sparked the composer inside me to make my own music! I’m limited to the confines of Garageband for the moment but you and a few others are the reason I aspire to make music. I would like to say, from the bottom of my heart - thank you, Jose. Keep up the awesome work! ❤️
@@bachphan5584 nah, Kings is more of a Zero of PW - fierce and giving the "this is how it ends" vibe. Presidia sounds more heroic, inviting you to a decisive battle, to make a final push - I'd say you can compare it with mass effect's "Suicide Mission"
I like how this track is triumphant, but also has dark undertones to match the story. At this point in the war, both the cascadians and mercs are just done with the federation. For the former, the feds burned their forests to buy time, and when that didn't work, caused a regional disaster. And sicario can never live normal lives again because of their identities leaking. You really get this feeling in both Kaiser and Woodward's dialogs in mission 19 and 20; they want to wipe out as many feds as they can. It's a victory, but a dark one
I know people love 3:07, but the part of this song I always find myself going back to is the lead up to and final violin crescendo at 4:33. God that whole sequence is spectacular and fits perfectly with the determination Monarch and his allies are showing at the end.
"All Federation military forces currently operating within the territory of Cascadia are to stand down and evacuate. This is an order from the Prime Executive, effective immediately."
I love the sound track of this game, you can hear elements of a bunch of different songs in just one, makes it feels more connected together, as it should, I hope you work with this devs again in a sequel or something, you have made a majestic impact in the gaming world.
Hey, José, you knocked it out of the park with this OST, it's really good while keeping it's own feel - I was just wondering if you could give me a hand? And lots of former member-nations of the Federation (some of whom were forced into joining) would be quick to appease the rest of the world to avoid their wrath and perhaps place themselves in the best position possible for a post-Federation world.
4:33 is easily my favorite part of the song and one of the highlights of the soundtrack to my ears.
Listening to this 2 years later made me replay the whole campaign again.
1:04 - 1:32
that's a dope progression on Em, props on that part
I always appreciate a track that can have a peak I mistake for a finale at its midpoint, but then goes on to top it
3:06 made my heart drop,it really catches the second finally mission
Hi Jose, I’d like to say you’re a very big inspiration of mine. Your music is absolutely incredible and it’s sparked the composer inside me to make my own music! I’m limited to the confines of Garageband for the moment but you and a few others are the reason I aspire to make music. I would like to say, from the bottom of my heart - thank you, Jose. Keep up the awesome work! ❤️
Hi there,
These kind of comments makes me very happy! Thank you for your warm comment and good luck in your journey to make music 👊🏻
the Daredevil of Project Wingman?
I would say Liberation of Gracemeria but that works too
the daredevil of project wingman would probably be kings
@@bachphan5584 nah, Kings is more of a Zero of PW - fierce and giving the "this is how it ends" vibe.
Presidia sounds more heroic, inviting you to a decisive battle, to make a final push - I'd say you can compare it with mass effect's "Suicide Mission"
I'd say Battle for Farbanti more like.
Yeah, Presidia will be remembered along with Unsung War, Zero and Liberation Of Gracemeria in the times to come as the genre's all time OST greats.
3:07 hits me right in the face. Really awesome music.
A Pyrrhic victory that is
Can we appreciate that this song is a great hit, but lets agree that 3:05 was the pinnacle of dramatic orchestra
3:25
Fed Pilot: "There's too much! AAAHHH-!"
this song is insanely good
This track is my second favorite in the whole game, It's beautiful and just seeing the battle happening in front of you. It's epic in my opinion.
1:12 my god. It's so beautiful! I love it!
This is the first time I saw spam not in the version of comments but videos.
My entire subscription box is just José videos. :D
Man, that throatsinging hits different after watching the making-of
Any of you lads know where to find the one violin track that seems to be the main theme
Hello
Check those tracks :
Clear Skies, Calamity and Presidia. (The only time it plays fully is in Presidia btw.)
@@JosePavli thanks for helping me quickly find it also you made a great soundtrack
You're welcome!
I really want to learn how to play the Project Wingman motif.
"Battle for Presidia" feels almost the same as Battle for Farbanti, but more orange.
Or the Liberation of Gracemeria
'Oh hey the orange is gone! Clear blue skies for the win! Prospero went FUBAR, but there's no way that'll happen AGAIN; right?"
I know people love 3:07, but the part of this song I always find myself going back to is the lead up to and final violin crescendo at 4:33. God that whole sequence is spectacular and fits perfectly with the determination Monarch and his allies are showing at the end.
Underrated. This should have a million views. But it doesn't..Hope it gets bigger. Your music is ear candy. And im addicted.
came for the soundtrack
stayed for the leitmotif
3:41
I just love this part
PW is an indie game that knew which stats it had to max out
Dialogue:4
Graphics:8
Story: 6
Gameplay: 10
O R A N G E: YES
@@reid1283Maximum orange
Man the Music in this game is beautiful and the game itself is good keep it up and hop to see what you all can do next
"All Federation military forces currently operating within the territory of Cascadia are to stand down and evacuate. This is an order from the Prime Executive, effective immediately."
0:55 that part gets me all the time
the whole soundtrack is incredible.. great work :)
Hey, Jose I have request. Can you please make a piano version of this theme? It’s highly requested.
Hello you can find a piano version of the theme here :
josepavli.com/news
If you mean making a piano arrangement of this, I don’t have time sorry.
C'est un Français qui a fait l'OST ! Super travail à Jose Pavli :)
I love the sound track of this game, you can hear elements of a bunch of different songs in just one, makes it feels more connected together, as it should, I hope you work with this devs again in a sequel or something, you have made a majestic impact in the gaming world.
3:08 is just. Yea.
So many previous themes coming together to tell the player how far they have come. Really cool.
we need a song that's just a solid several minutes of that main theme at 3:08
Hey, José, you knocked it out of the park with this OST, it's really good while keeping it's own feel - I was just wondering if you could give me a hand?
I've been trying to find the track that plays during the Mission Sirens of Defeat, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. What's it's name?
Thank you in advance, amazing work.
Hey ! Thank you so much. I'm glad you liked the game and its soundtrack.
It is Calamity, you can find it there :

@@JosePavli Wow! I really appreciate the quick response!
I actively run D&D sessions, and this track in particular is incredibly perfect for something coming up. Once I play it for my group, I will be sure to tell them who the composer is so they can have a look at your work, you deserve every bit of exposure and credit you get.
Cheers!
Everybody gangster 'till the sky starts playing violin
This is way too good to be in conquest mode. Seriously i am unable to not shed a tear listening to this
The part at 3:07 is a sample of the siren of defeat mission
It's a Lietmotif. It appears in a lot of tracks, like Peacekeeper One and Kings.
@@senbontorii2680oh that’s why it’s in like every song in the game
3:06
Jose's Motif > Kobayashi's Motif
PW's OST delivered on every. single. track.
Jose's Motif IS Kobayashi's Motif
I mean so does ace combat lol. Liberation of gracemeria is just as good as this.
Tbh their motif designs are both great. I would rank these 2 guys in the same tier on the top
-Random Federation Pilot over Presidia
You are a Legend... Being a Student Pilot myself..I feel your music whenever I Fly an Airplane ✈️❤️
i will watch your career with great interest
I really like bass in this
Clear Skies should be in the Best of Jose Pavli Playlist too.
3:07 I am just going to leave this here so I can return to that moment whenever I come back to this masterpiece
All planes! We're taking back Gra-Presidia!
3:07 same from Calamity
Guess this is PW's main theme
Indeed! Watch the Making of videos for more info about the themes and melodies from the game.
I love Sol Squadron and Alicorn to death and they're my favorite songs in AC7
a good 50% of the songs of PW live up to that
0:50 is underrated, the progression from there to 1:30 is just heavenly
>
SOF Ronin
Arcade funny pew pew fighter jets games always get the best soundtrack
when the arcade pew pew plane game has a soundtrack of a goddamn epic high fantasy film
And for today's weather, Presidia might have to experience cloudy with a high chance of missiles so everyone is advised to bring their own missile suppresion systems for your own safety
3:06 hits so hard
As a Ace Combat fan, I’ve gained respect for project wingman
"No mercy was shown in Prospero. None shall be shown here."
- Kaiser
Would've loved to have seen this somewhere in the absolute banger that is the One Year Medley you recently released. Maybe next year? Hopefully. Still though this song is great good work man, you caught the perfect balance between a struggle of freedom and order.
Thank you!
The beginning and the end of the medley is literally Presidia though. 🤔
I didn't realize that two years ago lol. Heard some of you're new stuff and its pretty good too man. Keep up the good work.
2:32 reminds me of MGSV...
Chills , literally chills
ill try the game looks so good
Hey Jose, I wonder do you get some inspiration from Hiroyuki Sawano's song? I get a bit of Unicorn Gundam OST vibe at some point hearing your masterpieces.. KUDOS 👍🏼
Hello. Unicorn Gundam was definitely an inspiration for PW OST, yes!
@@JosePavli I KNEW IT! Thanks for letting us know..
That might explain why Federation use GN Drives for their planes huh?
I’ve never heard of this game but the soundtrack slaps wtf
