Not Really. There are a lot of great Japanese bands like (GALNERYUS)-(MAXIMUM THE HORMONE)-(LOVEBITES)-(BABYMETAL)-(BAND MAID). Unlucky morpheus is fucking amazing too. I enjoy Baby Metal, but they led to me to Band-Maid, who are just phenomenal, and I actually watched Chase Carneson react to DOLL$BOXX, which led me down the Fuki rabbit hole, and out from there. What a journey this has been, I'm like an ADD hamster going from one piece of food to another right now, but with Japanese metal, lol. 9pm PST tomorrow... that's midnight my time. Welp, I guess I'm going to have to do a mid-day nap, lol.

It's dangerous to spend a lot of money on advertising overseas where rock is not mainstream. Hip-hop now dominates most western countries.

I would probably say this every time they come out with new materials but this is the best I have ever heard them sound. Shiren is just awesome with both guitar and vocals, Fumiya is just a beast as usual, Jinya and Ogawa are just incredible, Jill and Fuki are both amazingly talented and beautiful. This band needs more recognition so don't spam reactors on youtube but do spread UM's name around so more eyeballs and ear drums can feast their eyes on this incredible band.

I listen to over 20 or 30 Japanese bands and never felt the need to know what they were saying. But I guess to each his own.

To be specific, their genre is Melodic Speed Metal. its been done before. But since metal is not the biggest genre in Japan, this band is one of a kind.
I love how they make these ultra dramatic and heavy songs but when you listen to the lyrics you realise they're just a bunch of nerds singing about their favourite video games

I could point to "Jelonek" and "Resolution 15", but they are nowhere near to those 2: they're closer to Apocalytica (regarding composition). Same as other bands, violins usually are placed as keyboard (soundwise) and rarely are used as leading instrument, and when they are, they usually take the sound role of a lead guitar, and not its *own* sound: at most, you get a violin solo... The issue clearly is compositional, and in that regard is where NeO & A「エース」 stand apart from the rest: they incorporate the full sound spectrum of a violin.
