You are the best Chef Lola!Your channel is a life saver.Pls where can I buy the dried pepper?
Thanks dear... If you live in Nigeria, you can get it in the market but if you live abroad, you will get it in any Mexican or Asian store. I hope that helps?
Big tanx to you ma.
thanks for sharing your recipe. will like to try making this but will like to know if I must use "dry" pepper or can I use "fresh" once?
No dear, use only dried peppers.
I did this for dinner. I finally nailed it.....yessss..i am finally a professional....😄
Glad you nailed it 💃 💃 💃
where can I find the tool you used to match the bean?
It's the potato masher. Check Jumia.com or Konga.com
I saw the other recipe in other channel didn't use any crayfish or black pepper in the sauce. Is it okay to not use it? Or the original we must use it? Because I am not African and I don't know at all how it should taste. But I want to try to make it. Hope i got the answer.
Please which one is dried tatashe? I know the small ones but never seen the big ones, do they go by a special name? I'm in Texas, thanks.
They are dried red bell pepper. They're very common here in Nigeria, don't know about Texas though
You can get it in Mexican stores
lacker food thanks madam, may God bless you and your family
God bless you too Oladipo. :)
Afropotluck can I use fresh bell pepper pls
We have the same sort of food in Togo, it is called "Djongoli", thanks for sharing. :)
Really? That's good to know. :)
The name Ewa Agoyin actually translates - Togolese Beans
Can you use vegetable oil instead of palm oil?
Yes you can use vegetable oil. It will only be lacking that deep traditional taste; however it will still turn out very delicious!
Ok to vegetable oil but it be deep dark red as it should be.nut it definitely have same taste.
Hello Lola,Did you use a Cray Fish powder? Where can I buy these? Greetings,Bernard
Yes I did use Crayish powder, you can get it from any African/Carribean Market.
Afropotluck can I use rodo if I can't find the chili pepper
looks like the Ghanian shito right?
+duke of york Yea, kind of. :)
like to eat
WOW looks good.. so you mean we don't need tomatoes atall?? pepper is the main thing??
Yes Deevy, it's all pepper! the original recipe doesn't require Tomatoes but you can tweak the recipe if you will like to try it. I'll suggest adding some dried (rehydrated) Tomatoes if you can't stand the heat.
thanks ma'am.. you said dried red bell peppers.. does it have to be just dry? or the plump ones could substitute for it?
Is the chilli not too hot,,,i fear pepes
It’s a bit hot but not excessively hot 🥵
You should add that this recipe is vegan
+IISI35 You are absolutely right. :)
Yes it can be made vegan, if you remove the crayfish out of the recipe😉
