I recently did a trip to rioja and northern Spain and visited both ysios and marquis du riscal, they are both amazing vineyards but ysios felt so much more human and the setting was beautiful, not to mention the wine was better (in my opinion) at ysios. However the final vineyard we visited was Faustino which is a massive operation, hands down the best I've ever seen, the knowledge of the somalier and the winery itself was like no other vineyard or winery I'd ever visited, the grand reserve was also the best wine we tasted on the trip. Good list though guys, interesting results :)
who are the so-called 500 "experts"? It all sounds like a hype. Not a single balancing word of even the mildest critical thinking. How much ($£) to get in this list? A pretentious hype
Worlds best vineyards and we only talk about the winery? Nothing in depth about terroir or anything about de vineyard at all... Only about commercial properties which have a restaurant on the estate. Sadly quite dissappinted
What is the criteria, who paid the most?
