Hi Flemming, Great question. Yes, every contact or circuit track needs to be connected to the S-88. On the bottom of the S-88 are 16 ports, and thus up to 16 contact/circuit tracks can be connected to the S-88. You could also connect "momentary" push button switches (doorbell switch) to the S-88 ports, kinda fun if you want interactive push button switches on your layout. When a guest would push the switch, the S-88 could wake up the CS, and execute "something" (change a signal, let a train depart, etc.)
