The reason why those cool-looking wheels are deep, is because are deep dish.
Those new wheels are Rennsport AC Schnitzer Type 2's.

In 1996 I had a brand new BMW 328is Coupe Sport 6 speed. I built it into AC Schnitzer, w body kit, 17” Schnitzer wheels, H&R suspension and much more mods. I loved that car so much! Was Black on Gray leather.
I personally think that 17inch are the perfect size rims for an E36! btw your M3 is looking so good! 😎😎

The 'sch' in "Schnitzer" sounds like the norwegian 'sj' in "sjokolade" or 'skj' in "skjell". The rest of Schnitzer is like you pronounced it 👍

Why dont just buy genuine rennsport wheels instead of wasting money on reps?
I don't like stretched tires and i think you should have gone wider, especially since it's an M3 grip should considered (unless you will do burnouts or drift with those), i had 205/45/17 and 245/40/17 on my 323 coupe and wheels were 7" and 8.5" if i remember right and it looked awesome from the back

A. Those are not AC Schnitzers B. Totally missed with the tyre height. Makes the wheel look small C. The car is really nice :)
