Shocking! Upstanding Police Officer Turned Pedophile (STILL Living in Town TODAY!)

- Carlos Martinez was a former Sergeant for Monroe Police Department and a helicopter pilot for the U.S. Army but behind closed doors he was truly a pedophile who victimized at least one victim. He only received 14 months in prison and was released in 2020. In this video, I document what happened but also go to the scenes of the school where Carlos volunteered as a DARE officer and visit the police department where he worked. As a survivor of csa I don't think there should be a statute of limitations on any child abuse. It takes some of us time to come to grips with what happened to us. Once again another great video Harmin.

I'm sorry that happened to you Irene. Sometimes, we might not remember what happened because it was so violent. There's something about being gang attacked, especially under 6 years-old, that shatters the child's memory. I didn't remember my attack until I got sober, and it all came back clearly. Yes. It happens to boys as well and it ruins lives. TY for pointing out the limits of the law. Peace ✌

The very fact he was in possession of the videos of AK as a minor should have been proof he had groomed her to his desired outcome throughout those years, proving csa.

Because he was a police officer and a volunteer dare officer he should have suffered a far longer sentence. He clearly broke the public’s trust and this took this poor girl’s innocence. We don’t know how many children he victimized. His wife should have turned him in as soon as she saw the video.
100% agreed amberielle!👍 He should have got WAY longer then 14 months. The problem was the statute of limitations ran out and so they dropped those other charges🤦♂️

Child assault should be like murder, no statute of limitations at all. Great story and I hope it gets his face out here so people that don’t know the story can be careful of him. Hopefully he has to register as a sex offender!

I didn't go on family vacations as a child, but is it normal for wife to go on vacation and the husband not go? Seems like she gave him plenty of time to feed his inner demons. I feel like the cops are just under preist and preachers when it come to people you shouldn't have to worry about these types of things.

So, did his wife divorce him? It may be that local citizens haven't made his presence in town miserable enough.. If he moved he would have to report to that area's department for sexual offenders registry and then his photo would be in the local police stations there as well (public notice type thing). Maybe he decided he'd only have his photo posted where he was convicted. (As a former law enforcement officer and veteran, he knows his presence makes others more uncomfortable than it makes him. He's narcissistic and doesn't care that anyone else is uncomfortable-he likes that sort of thing.)

I was a victim of csa when I was 12 that went on for a while. The man that did it was in the church, was my friends dad and was also my dads friend. I wasn't the only little girl he did this to but the only one willing to come forward when he was arrested so he only got 3 years. As victims it takes us the rest of our lives to heal and learn to be normal again. These poor excuses for humans get off to easy! Thanks Harmon for shedding some light on this evil man and on this subject

The light sentencing of these Predators has to be the most representation of our society's value of our children. The abuser in your case deserved a life sentence as does this disgusting disgrace.

This is despicable! I was 13yrs old when I got in an "emotional" relationship with my teachers assistant. He bought me a phone, would email & text me everyday. Then after a year it turned sexual. I'll never forget when I asked what his ultimate intentions were with me, he told me "he wanted to help mold me". I never told on him, I found out after I dropped out of school he was promoted to an administrative position, I still wonder if he ever did what he did with me to others girls. I should've spoke up and told somebody. I'm 30 years old now, but I remember all of it like it was yesterday. Luckily, the school he was working at was shut down. Thank God!

What's strange is that I also had a DARE officer who ended up being a bad guy. Officer Dave Baranowski was his name. He pretended to be a great, caring, generous guy as well-- we all loved and respected him a lot. But one Saturday, about a year after I had him, there was a front page story featuring his portrait. He had apparently pulled a murder-suicide on his wife and himself. It was totally wild and hit me like a ton of bricks. I do hope that AK received the help she most definitely needed after a trauma involving that scumbag officer. Poor girl, she had no idea how messed up that whole thing was. What a sicko; the shower cam... ugh just makes me shudder. Thank you for sharing your experiences, Harmin and Gus! Much love to you guys 💛
Gus! I, too, had a 1998 Ford escort! Her name was Penelope and she was a trooper; I did not treat her gently lol. What's funny is that I locked my keys in that car so frequently, it became a running joke. What funny and strange coincidences.

I grew up in Monroe and Carlos was also my DARE officer. He was always seemingly kind and a decent guy. I also got pulled over by him shortly after high school and he let me off of a speeding charge he had me on dead-to-rights. Its scary to know I was in such close proximity to this monster. I hope AK can heal, heartbreaking to know someone I might know went through this.
