Watch the show for Chuck Barris. Guy cracked me up. Loved all his outfits and how he would wear his hat. Didn't pay much attention to acts and looked forward to Chuck's interaction with acts and panel. Worth the wait to sit through cheezy performances.

There are moments in every life when the universe suddenly changes and we know that life will never be quite the same again. This was one of those moments for me. A cosmic inflection point that made me question not only the meaning of my life, but the very meaning of existence itself. And while I may never know the answer to those questions, I am humbled and grateful for this profound gift from our creator, and the hope and joy that it's given to so many of us in these often dark times.

Anything with the Continantal anything, got to be good. Usually intergetic music is passed up. Starting a song extra slow will kill any act.

First season was 1976. This is either in 1976, or the person posting this means premiere of season 2. Unclear.

He died at 87 in 2017. Besides "The Gong Show," he also produced the original versions of "The Newlywed Game" and "The Dating Game."
