This Show was truly Manic-Mad-Magnificence!!! no other crazy show will EVER top it. *Chucky-boy, Jaye P, Rip, Jaime, Artie, and even Rex Reed. IT WAS A CLASSIC LIKE NO OTHER.* Chucky: rest in peace, you crazy animal!
Watch the show for Chuck Barris. Guy cracked me up. Loved all his outfits and how he would wear his hat. Didn't pay much attention to acts and looked forward to Chuck's interaction with acts and panel. Worth the wait to sit through cheezy performances.
There are moments in every life when the universe suddenly changes and we know that life will never be quite the same again. This was one of those moments for me. A cosmic inflection point that made me question not only the meaning of my life, but the very meaning of existence itself. And while I may never know the answer to those questions, I am humbled and grateful for this profound gift from our creator, and the hope and joy that it's given to so many of us in these often dark times.
The 70s were the absolute BEST!
I remember this.
My God we were all once so young
Loved that show. The whole family sad down to watch and laugh at the craziness of it.

That was one of the best shows ever!!! Chuck and his crazy hats and of course Gene, Gene the dancing machine!!!❤❤❤
Without The Gong Show, there would not have been an 'America's Got Talent'.
Oh my good memories watching this funny stuff bring back the seventies loved the show
Carol Connors was giving Chuck favors before airtime. No wonder he was so happy!
Chuck had millions of hats
Glad you enjoyed!

Loved that show. Everyone was just strung out and we enjoyed it. Where are they now?
Aired on NBC daytime around March / April 1978.
That face Chuck made while saying the act's name 🤣🤣
Great show!
Anything with the Continantal anything, got to be good. Usually intergetic music is passed up. Starting a song extra slow will kill any act.
Spring 1978
at 3:45 : HOW DID HIS JACKET SLEEVE NUMBER CHANGE from 22 to 21 ??? whaaaa???
yep it was a strange show alright.
Balloons❤
First season was 1976. This is either in 1976, or the person posting this means premiere of season 2. Unclear.
Jujie was robbed.
I have reached the end of the internet. I should probably go to bed.
NO COMMIES Stick to the MUSIC.. EPIC!!!
00:55,
is barris still alive?
He died at 87 in 2017. Besides "The Gong Show," he also produced the original versions of "The Newlywed Game" and "The Dating Game."
