Sitting down with this for the third time and still just beginning to get everything it has to offer. One of the most complex so far early in my Scotch journey the other being Craigellachie 13. Even though it's un peated you still get a whiff of smoke. Big aromas, flavors and a big long finish. Wonderful, look forward to finding new things in this bottle.
Another great review and mouth watering crepe pairing! Like another commenter mentioned, I don’t often buy the Bunnahabhain 12 since it retails for almost exactly what the Lagavulin 16 does (in my area) and is about $15-20 more than other delicious 10-12 yr olds that I also love. Perhaps if this comes out on top as your pick of the crop, I’ll have to give it another try. Really looking fwd to your Caol Ila review though. That’s currently my go-to Islay standard at the moment.
i had a dram of this, last year. Really could not get a hold of it. Will consider to buy a bottle next time around I am in the shop. It is priced around $55 in my area, which kind of puts me off 'cos I have a couple of favorites at/in the same range. Can't wait for your review of Bowmore 12 and Caol Ila 12, those two are a must in my bar at all time. Thank you !!
Hello Gustav, Bunnahabhain 12 is one of my favorite standart Malts and the 18 is in top three, i like the Oakiness and the intense Sherry with his berry notes with a little bit of sea salt on the palate...great review, thanks! Greetings from Germany : )
I have a soft spot for this whisky. I personally think the Kilkerran will be a full notch above the rest but maybe I am bias due to springbanks influence. I would say I am partial to the complexity and craft style of Kilkerran.
THE WHISKY COUCH - I am very excited! There is a tremendous opportunity for more women to voice their opinions on Whisk(e)y. Keep up the excellent work. Your channel deserves more traffic to be sure. Cheers.
I love the Bunna expression and thought the 18 was fantastic. My only problem with Bunna is the price point for the 12. $65 in my area which I can get the Glen Grant 16 or Oban 14 for about the same. It almost makes more sense to go straight for the 18 yr at $115.
Had this bottle for a few months but I've not opened it yet hopefully soon as I've heard lots of great things about this.
love this whisky! so good.
Mourad Baly I’m with you on that! Cheers 😊🥃!

Donner Pass Whiskey it’s like an adventurous journey! Enjoy! Slainte 😊🥃!
Having my last dram of this bottle and it is wonderful, just keeps getting better. Don't know if you have the 18 but would love to see a review of it.
Donner Pass Whiskey I do indeed. Will have to do a review soon 😊🥃!
what a wonderful sounding combination!

Jay Chung Caol Ila coming up 😋😋🥃🥃!!
Great review as always. BH 12 is easily one of my favorite drams, especially during the winter.
Andre Theart and I agree 😋. Thanks for watching 🥃!
Wonderful pairing with the hazelnut flavored Nutella.
I think this "Lightly peated" 2nd leg is going to be the highlight of the entire 12 year series.
lorenz yacoubian I have the same feeling! Don’t know how I’m going to pick a favourite 😬

witsch master aah Germany! Prost, and thank you for tuning in 😊🥃!!
This is one of those favorite whiskies that I have not had in quite a while... I should correct that grievous error.

Christopher Morkel. .... I’m a Sherry Cask whisky fan! This is so good 😊🥃!
We need a joint review with Elna!
Musket Merve I’m still trying to convince her 😉
I completely agree, we want to see your other half on this show
I am sure she is already involved in the background.
Musket Merve we shot our first review together 👏 and it will be published on Monday - yeah!!!

Thomas Buck the price does make it a more difficult choice. I see the new 12yo in the red tube is suddenly also more expensive here.
Do you own a liquor store in South Africa or is all that great whisky your private collection?
Corey Martin - Big Poppa me and my son’s private collection, collected over many years. Thanks for tuning in Corey! Cheers 😊🥃!
THE WHISKY COUCH would love to see a video of you collection sometime on your channel.
Slainte!!!
