Indian food is amazing comfort food for me. I love chicken biryiani too. And I’m pretty sure that there’s been Indian immigrants to the West Indies in the past so the flavours are probably familiar to you.
@@PureatomikI know this comment is a year old, but to correct it, they came over as indentured workers. Indentured workers experienced discrimination and horrible treatment too, but the difference is they were paid, even if not a lot.

Bigup g from London hella Indians in Caribbean so the curry came from that, lots of my Jamaicans bredrins here have said they got Indian in there dna and they use Indian brand spice blends when making Jamaican curry
Indian food and Jamaican food have a lot of similarities because during the British colonial period a lot of indian where shipped to the west indies to work on the sugarcane fields. " I don't wanna use the word salves".
“Idk if I’m lowkey indian” 😂😂😂 lots of people put the yogurt on biriyani but I’m not a yogurt fan. Gotta try chicken tikka masala, and saag paneer next
I don’t think I have a favorite cuisine, because I like foods from all over, but Indian cuisine comes pretty damn close to being a favorite. That’s coming from a guy that grew up with Italian and Mexican immigrants and went to numerous dinner parties with both.
the yogurt sauce was supposed to be eaten with the biryani and you missed out by not getting chicken tikki masala or butter chicken and make them hot if you can handle the heat & you dip the naan in the sauce of those dishes sooooo fire !!
You should try the buttermilk chicken and chicken Masala . Those are the top things on the menu in my city . You can also dip the bread in the both of those dishes. Also I would recommend the mango lassi. It’s the best drink you’ll ever have
The yogurt is to lessen the spicy in Indian food. Usually comes with the biriyani rice. The garlic naan could be eaten with food that has dishes with gravy in it. Please try butter chicken and chicken tika masala with garlic naan. It is amazing. Good for you getting over your fear of trying indian food and giving it another chance. Hope you get to explore more amazing indian food.
Jamaican cusine is nothing but Indian inspired brought by migrants from India during colonial era you can still see Indians across Caribbean countries 🙂
Just to correct this, there is alot of Indian influence in food but also there is alot of African influenced foods, Chinese influenced foods etc it's very mixed there

Heyyy... Its great to see you enjoy Indian food. Please never stop having it!! Well for starters, munchurian is a appetizer so have it alone. The yoghurt is meant to be a coolant for the biryani.. If the biryani gets spicy u can have a taste of yoghurt in between. The naan always pairs up with gravies, curries, vegetables and chicken. After the naan is finished you can even have rice with gravies, curries etc. Just dont pair rice with naan... If you eat it right you will enjoy the food even better. Love from India 🇮🇳

Ya a lot Indians immigrated over to the Caribbean when they were bought over as slaves. We bought our spices and culture tho too.

That’s because those Singaporean noodles have curry spices in it. Samosas also have curry spices in it. And that’s cilantro chutney you dipping it in.
