Wow, Andrew, what a fabulous Beach club and hotel, pure class, we stay near La Pinta beach but love walking to Del Duque, gorgeous area, will have to try and walk a bit further and pop in there for a drink. I didn't think your bill for coffee and water was too steep, expected it to be €10/12 , so not bad considering the suroundings, really enjoy seeing all this. Thankyou.xx
It's changed so much over the last 20 years. Regularly did the walk from Torviscas/Fanabe to La Caleta back in the day

Really enjoyed the vlog, thank you. We usually stay at Baobab Suites and so walk along the beachfront past there most days. I'm sure we'll give it a go. 19 weeks until we are back. Can't wait.

Coffee for me. We are staying near here in April, at the Costa Adeje Palace. Will definitely call in here, really appreciate the heads up Andrew. We stayed in Gigantes last year, lived it, but got a bus for the day to Adeje. Not been there for 6 years, we missed it so much. Even had a drink in the First and Last in Fanabe. Can't wait !

We saw the start of the work of this Beach Club in May last year. Wasn't sure it was going to be this, but saw the area being cleared and renovated.

The Duques Castle is owned by the Puig family. Rafael Puig acquired seafront land in Arona and Adeje in the 1960’s and began developing Las Americas. He developed the first 4 star hotel, the Grand Tinerfe. He married a former Miss Spain and Miss Europe , and they have two sons, one of whom, Santiago, followed his father into property development, his most well known projects being Parc Santiago 1,2 and 3. The castle itself was built by the Duke of Abrantes around the 1920’s.
Casa del Duque was built 1931-1936 and renovated in to a residence later.

La torre mirador is one of thee best restaurants in the world , the singer ged robert’s is worth going for alone. The ambiance is amazing, the food sumptuous. The clientele are class, Dont expect 2 for 1 and a 2 euro beer through . You tube ged robert’s , you will not be disappointed

Stayed there twice as the Sheraton, very nice hotel, it’s looks very similar apart from the bottom end which was changed a lot, I walked past in May and could see the major refurbishment at the bottom section, pools etc removed and that bar is a new building, that bottom restaurant was used for weddings I believe
That was such a lovely location, very nice indeed, I would go there 👍❤

we got home last night ,now we have watched that we would love to spend a day there ………We will now have to see if we can afford to come back for another visit this year! !!!!

The stones piled up are usually done as a memorial to a loved one lost. They sometimes light a tea candle on top (one of them was done by me) I have spent many hours over the years sitting on the benches outside the hotel, from when it was the Sheraton.
They are called Rock Cairns. There are several reasons why people create them. I believe the amount of cairns on that place went terribly out of hand and needs regulation or removal. To my opinion, without proper guidance people will copy this and start doing this everywhere. Which harmful for nature.

Saw it being refurbed/built last summer but I wouldn't be paying £400 a night for somewhere that anyone can walk in off the streets and use the facilities.

It is the former Sheraton hotel sold to the Tivoli group and has undergone a massive 12 month refurbishment. The Seen beach bar is the old kid’s playground area. If you are there also try the nearby restaurant the Jade Stone. One of my favourites.
We’ve just been into ‘Seen’ as it’s on our daily walk. What a peculiar experience. We said we were only here for drinks, then were taken in through some curtains into a dark room and showed some matured sides of beef, clams, oysters etc, quizzed where we were staying, and only then were we able to get to the seating area, which was pretentious beyond belief. Despite being not too busy and having lots of staff milling about, there were dirty glasses at tables and they managed to get our order of 2 Aquarius’s wrong. We stayed for one drink and left. The staff were less than friendly and seemed on edge. I’m all for upmarket but you’ve got to get the basics right too. I just couldn’t see what the USP was supposed to be other than the weird curtain experience.
Looks nice Andrew but wouldn't pay 400 euros a night I prefer hot water the price wasn't to bad I expected higher price ❤❤

Stayed there a few times when it was Sheraton. Excellent hotel in a good location but not enough good eating places nearby for Bed and Breakfast guests. No disrespect to you Andrew but as per another comment seems crazy that anyone can just wander in and use facilities. Will think about going back but for the moment we’re happy in Los Cris and Arona Gran.😎

If you use the beach club, can you also use the pool area too? If not, it's a cafe not a beach club IMO.
The hotel looks stunning, but you are a fair bit away from any action there - suppose it depends what you enjoy.

It’s the old Sheraton hotel.. stayed there two weeks a couple of years ago.. lovely staff that time.. but it’s taken over.. and doesn’t belong to the Sheraton group anymore

Went there with the other half before we had the little one the upgrade package wasn’t worth it at all… I’d go again with the basic but wouldn’t say was my favourite stay in Tenerife
Visit when we are in Costa Adeje, had something to eat and a few drinks, had too many and paid a tip of 50 euros 😂😂😂 thought it was a 10 euro 😂😂😂
Coffee, as long as it has a decent taste not the weak stuff.
Straw umbrellas are good looking but dangerous if you don't watch your head many a scratch I've had

The hotel looks nice but it's expensive more expensive than Villa Cortes in las Americas and that's expensive . Prefer coffee than tea

Cheers for the warnings in recent months andrew, and thank laura for the ice cream cake on the sunday night of my girl friends birthday 3 weeks ago, i no laura was in a sweat that night as she sneaked the cake in, i just gave her a wink lol. But as regards the warnings 2 nights later we left Tramps night club opposite veronicas strip about 5AM, and she was pissed lol, i was grand, as we walked out4 lets just call them OIL RIGGERS came towards us trying to have a laugh and we ignored them, 1 of them took my phone from my shorts pocket, i assume he taught i was as drunk as herself lol, so i grabbed his wrist and said let go of the phone, so he did and tried to make a joke of it, so i just dropped him, and his mates/ other scum said sorry only joke bla bla bla relax relax, i said i am relaxed, because if i wasn't, i woyld be kicking 10 shades of. s#/+ out of him right now, they said they wanted no trouble and attended to him so we walked off. Ok i hadent drank in 3 hours i was carrying my girl home, but what about the couples who do be both well oiled and don't stand a chance with these lot hanging around, no sign of police at all, seen 1 car all week and that was around the corner from yours, none in las America's. Something needs to be done to end this big time, or people will stop coming. Sorry for the rant, cheers again andrew.
