I remember as a kid in Canada running for my life from the meanest billy goat north of the border. I found out then that if you're scared enough, you'll fly right between them there barbed wires. Kind of a Superman's pose, you might say😂

I have a huge scar from crossing those as a kid. Ah, good memories. ❤

Do y'all have electrified fences in your parts?
In a lot of rural areas with livestock in the USA, it pays to test a fence to find this out.
You can take a blade of green grass, then hold it with your bare hand in contact with the wire. (dried grass won't conduct electricity very well).
Wait a bit for one of those periodic pulses of electricity. You can feel the tickle. The grass limits the juice that gets to you.
If you have to cross it, just be careful. If you get shocked, you won't die, but you might not enjoy the experience.
I was a bit overconfident once, when I stepped between two electrified barbed wires. Some piece of clothing snagged on one of the wires, then I got bounced back and forth 'twixt the wires a few times. How many times? I have no idea beyond 'several'. My brain was unable to count for a few seconds there. I did, however, end up on the side where I was headed, so there's that.

Annoyingly important information. I grew up on a farm, so, getting over barb wire fences is something I've been doing my entire life, but, pretty much all my work trousers have holes about 3/4 up the shin, about the height of the bottom strand of barb wire.
Also, cannot emphise enough how much easier it is with two people, as opposed to doing it on your own.

Yep. No matter how careful you are, those barbs will get you sooner or later.

There is a lot more evidence to support continental drift rather than the expanding earth theory.

Unless that bottom wire is just too low.

Bring a thick piece of cloth to drape over the top of it too maybe, so if the wire comes loose while you're standing on it lol yeah.

When your legs are as short as mine, that's not a bad idea!
