Hasn't anyone noticed that in qualifying, Mercedes sends Lewis out before George. That's got to be worth a tenth or two.
I'm surprised that Matt did not suggest this: make Monaco strictly a time trial event. Everyone agrees that qualifying is very exciting so make the race event itself go away.
Canada has always been a good Ferrari track in the Hybrid Era. Plus Mclaren are good at every track. Low tems will probably hurt them in quali, Mclaren favoured i guess.
Fairly new to the party, I've listened to 4-5 episodes. Just wanna say that this podcast is by far the best, most knowledgeable (and funniest) podcast about F1. (I will not say anything about Matt's face.) Thank you!
I've been raving and ranting about the state of Media these days. I feel there's no creativity, I hate to say the word "laziness" . Very few chase or find original stories and different views of thought. They regurgitate what is trending on social media. I can take that from small fringe content creators. But, not Mainstream Media like Sky.
They are supposed to give us original content and stories, considering they have access to the Drivers, TPs, etc. When they've been given these interviews, they ask the most repetitive mundane questions. Even in Drivers Conferences you can see the Drivers are so bored and they're starting to be sarcastic with the Reporters sometimes. Max is having a time of his life at the moment. They even continue chatting while others are talking.
The carry narratives about Drivers based on what the social media Fandom says. It's disappointing I must be honest.
Imagine they travel all over the world to report obvious things that doesn't give us fans inside and insight information we normal fans have no access. Sometimes I feel I know more about the race or driver more than them.

1:12:00 Monaco should just be a quilifying event. All weekend including "race" day should be an event on what team can do the fastest lap. Expanding the qualifying event on race day by having 4 sessions, with the last session being the points awaring event. Kinda like Indy does their qualifying. At the end award normal points to top 10 teams according to their qualifying position.
Loved the NASCAR podcast BTW. 🙂
Its a shame the Naza car podcast is their lowest viewed.

idk how many times ocon has to crash into his teammates before you blame him. he didn't need to try an overtake on his teammate on first lap.
The narrative for Toto has changed so Merc are desperate to prove they released the right driver by offering him what effectively was a 1 year contract. If Lewis fell for the trick and didn't find an option at Frrrari or elsewhere Merc would have succeeded in setting him up for failure then exercising their option not to extend after a year. They wanted to humiliate him!
the absolute cap being put on this Ocon conversation is a precise example as to why i don't patreon for these guys no more. lmfao.
ill still listen to the free content but man, garbage takes to the point where it just feels like they're just trolling their audience.
