Firestopping Product Spotlight: QWR Fire Collar

A fire collar is a metal encasement with fixing lugs, and, contained in this shell is a layer of intumescent. It is known as a direct to wall seal and typically requires a fire collar on both sides of the wall.
In this video, Alec Purdie (Technical Manager) highlights our QWR Fire Collar. The QWR is rated as type X durability which means it can be exposed to weathering. It has been tested in a variety of applications including both rigid and flexible walls and tested in conjunction with QuelStop Fire Batt including single batt, double batt, and pattress. It has also been tested on floors.
