This is due to other languages relying on subtext and there aren't many people outside of the country that would know the language well enough to read it, let alone use it as a reference in their own papers. English is a major world language because many countries have their citizens learn it as a second language. So putting papers and such out in English only, helps the information disseminate globally and increase advancements.
