Okay, I think this is not the only amv that I'll post about Armin & Annie. But for now, I really wanted to do a minimalist vids with a lot of parallels... Especially the "quote" of a "good person" who always comes in their conversation.
Anyway, I swear the next one on them will be more focus on text, effect and everything.

This just proves that Armin had feelings for Annie even before he got access to Bertholdt's Memories. Even me a hardcore Jaegerist thinks this ship is adorable.

anyone who says their interactions dont make sense didnt pay attention to their interactions back when they were with the scouts, like armin said "you cant be a good person to everyone", that gave Annie hope, that even in Marley there may be some people who dont deem her a monster, the same phrase made Armin realised he isnt as innocent as he thinks, he has a total of 20.000+ murders on his back, Annie made Armin accept his dirty hands the same way Armin made Annie realise she may be a God in someone's eyes
you're right! there's a lot of clues like this on Annie & Armin. I understand that some people don't ship them but I do hate when I read that their relationship came out from nowhere... It is subtle, yes, but it is here.
Manipulating Bert for the first time, Armin asks himself the question - "what should I let go of my life?" We are shown Annie leaving and Berthold, turned in her direction. But why did he notice his movements? Yes, because Armin was watching Annie himself, but he was smart enough not to show it.
Armin realizes that in order to achieve his goals, he will have to give up his feelings. He is grinning, and there is sadness, longing and pain in his eyes.
Let's remember the moment in season 3 where Hitch asks Levi, Jean and the others where Annie has gone and her things are still in the room. In the anime, Armin looks at Hitch without reaction, but in the manga he turns away and is sad. Mikasa even notices this. It shows us that he has not forgotten and still loves her.
Manipulating Berthold for the second time, his eyes disappear completely. According to the rules of the anime - eyes in the shadow - the character does not want to show true feelings. This emotion is stronger than ordinary sad eyes.

Thank you so much, honestly, yeah, they don't have a lot of obvious interactions (because you know Annie was asleep in that crystal rock like the Sleeping Beauty for a long time) but they are so meaningful! I'm on a rewatch of SNK, and I managed to find more parallels to them in S1 and S3, Armin always wondering himself if he's a good person... this fucking quote is always in this mouth, Annie really leaved a mark on him somehow!

I liked their interactions in season 1 but for me season 4 was underdeveloped and i just couldn't like it. I absolutely despise it. I do not know why though.
personally, I think they have a lot of subtle interaction, they also have great parallels in season 3 (even tho Annie is the sleeping beauty during this time) 😂😭 Sure it's not like Eren & Mikasa, it's not obvious at first... but I totally get it if you're not into this ship, maybe with a little more development and moments together, it would have been better... who knows?
