The more you listen, the more you catch subtle nuances in the music. The fade in from the synths when the elevator opens... the 1-2-3-4 chug riff at 3:31 ... Kevin's banshee scream in the chorus... how the underlying beat in the elevator music is mirrored in the guitar riff and the "Ta Ta Ta Ta tatata Ta - GET DOWN" chant in the second half of the breakdown... the creative writing is there, it's just done so well and so subtly that it takes several listens to recognize it. Geniuses.
One of my favorites is during that synth part when the elevator opens. In the right channel there's this wamp, wamp sound I didn't catch until probably my 3rd listen. It was just perfect ear candy to me.
The guitar riff in the second half of each chorus (during Kevin's scream) foreshadows the rave music in the club scene. There's this really fun off beat synthy lightsaber sound effect happening from 2:27 to 2:32. And there's a sharp downward synth effect in the choruses that perfectly precedes the "down down" lyrics e.g. 1:11-1:12 .
Going down the list and watching all the reactions (admittedly so I can hear the song over and over) and it should be subtitled "We in the club...is that a baby?"
The thing I love most about electric callboy is that no matter what song you listen to just just can’t help but smile from beginning to end 😂 they really bring the fun back to metal
Funfact: The elevator operator is Uke Bosse, a german actor. But he's not only an actor. He is a also professor on a media school in Berlin for game design. And he was an editor for german video game magazines and he is famous in the german video game scene.
You are one of the few good reactions because all others feel the need to pause the video rather than listening to the whole music to the end and then give their opinion.
For someone from Brazil who had a lot of MPB/Bossa Nova playing on my circle of friends the way they did a breakdown after the elevator song part sounded so good for me lmao
Another uplifting and banger song from this band. Electric Callboy simply never disappoints. I'm looking forward to the Nova Rock Festival in Austria this summer. Finally new songs and live shows again. @METALBIRB I'm still surprised that there are so few reaction videos of their more serious songs on RUclips. Compared to the more fun songs. I don't know if you've heard Mindreader, Parasite or Fuckboy. Greetings from beautiful Austria!
Tank the Tech (their tour manager) explained that this song is about their experience with the House of Blues concert venue in Chicago. There are 7 floors between the prep room and the garage with either 7 flights of stairs or one lift.. with an elevator operator. The operator was apparently a very chill guy who they liked. Kevin screaming "I just wanna get down!" came from him standing on the 7th floor waiting for ages for the lift...
They're so cool and refreshing. I love my sad boi and dark music, but I also really love stupid comedic stuff, so these guys are a true blessing for this genre. As you mentioned, yes there are similar bands, but right now, they're easily on the top of the food chain. They get crazy views and everyone that reacts or talk about them do as well and It's all deserved.
Off topic, but bro... What is that awesome fire thing in the background?? I need that. Edit: Also I would absolutely lose to a try not to headbang challenge with this.
The “elevator operator” is Uke Bosse, an actor and professor of game design at the University for media design in Berlin. Imagine your professor is part of an Electric Callboy video. 🤣
Go watch Tank and his review and reaction. This is actually based on a real elevator operator at the house of blues in Chicago… it’s hilarious!! BANGER 1000% 🔥🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻
I'm going to be honest here. They literally do the same thing every single song. The hype has worn out on me a while ago. It's copy paste and release it seems.
Elevator Operator or Ratatata?
Ratatata operator.
Elevator Operator methinks
I think the elevator had the better chorus and breakdown. Ratatata gave me fun dance vibes, lol. But ill pick elevator 😂
EO!
Elevator Operator 🔥

When is the fade in part with the synths?
@@Kara-de5cz 2:18 . The effect on the synths makes it sound like your POV from inside the elevator as the doors open to the rave.
Subtle nuances? I think you’re giving them way too much credit for acting like a fade in for a synth is some magical thing.

I've just now realised, Uke's hair doesn't move at all in the elevator. He's just built different (or uses a lot of hair spray)
He is the Elevator Operator..
Laws of Physics dont apply to him!
The thing I love most about electric callboy is that no matter what song you listen to just just can’t help but smile from beginning to end 😂 they really bring the fun back to metal
I have seen them twice here in Boston the best show I have seen in ages! If they play anywhere near you make it a plan to see them.
Gonna see them here in Sweden November 5th! Cant wait!
I love that they are seriously good musicians & yet they lean into their silly side, holding nothing back. The world needs this.

Kevin's waving his fingers gets me every time
Tank has a great video for this track. He must know the band or something cause he has backstory for the song.
Isn't he their touring manager for the US ?
@@wave4core yes he is
Global tour manager
@@wave4core He is their Tour manager everywhere
Lol yes, he is their tour manager. I was joking. It is a joke.
You are one of the few good reactions because all others feel the need to pause the video rather than listening to the whole music to the end and then give their opinion.
Elevators will never be the same lol. 🔥
For someone from Brazil who had a lot of MPB/Bossa Nova playing on my circle of friends the way they did a breakdown after the elevator song part sounded so good for me lmao
same feeling bro
Search for Huaska - samba de preto and enjoyed it
I love that the breakdown is just literally a breakdown of that classic Bossa Nova song. Incredible
nice reaction, greetings from germany 🤘

No 3. Love you guys.
1:56 the mermaid is played by Carina Pusch, their make-up artist and costume designer.
Fantastic intro 😆👌

If you want to listen to more funny/goofy german metalbands you should check out "The Butcher Sisters" !
Electric callboy is the pinnacle of fun metal things 😎
These guys NEVER DISAPPOINT! Check the baby in the elevator at the end has Space Man clothes on 🤣🤣🤣
And a disco helmet! I think we should call it Baby Metal 😄
Isn't it the RATATATA outfit that the baby has on?:D
@Tyyppl yip check the comments above
this song absolutely banger & the electronic sound so groovy and then the breakdown so fucking sick but i love this song yeah 👏🤘🔥🔥🔥
Off topic, but bro... What is that awesome fire thing in the background?? I need that.
Edit: Also I would absolutely lose to a try not to headbang challenge with this.
EC will always brighten my day with a new release, because it's always an absolute slapper of a track, that is just really silly and funny
I laughed so hard when I first saw this video that I cried.
Its very LMFAO - every day im shufflin at parts, especially the "Elevator Operator"
But metal version.
The baby doll at the end is dressed like them in RATATA 😂
FUN METAL THINGS!!!!
I don't know if I want to headbang or grab glow sticks & dance 🤣🔥🤟🏼
Man even since I discover them when they sang hypa hypa I be hook, I mad those I could saw them last year but had to work that day

He reached ultimate aura points with this.
It's a German Actor/ Professor / Gameprod
0:38 El Patrón...
Samurai pizza cat is one of e.c members side project
Ja sicher!!! ❤❤❤🤘🤘🤘
Germany is on something man
That 'something' is top of the world.
I swear that the Germans have found their humour in the past 2-3 decades. It is just a joke people, please do not take it seriously. 😂
Elevator Core.
SPC is a side hustle from one EC guy so no wonder ;)
❤
It’s like Rammstein and LMFAO Wrote a song together.
Go watch Tank and his review and reaction. This is actually based on a real elevator operator at the house of blues in Chicago… it’s hilarious!!
BANGER 1000% 🔥🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻
His video is totally worth the watch. The little tid bits on how this song came about just makes it even more funny
Am I the only one who sees the part in the street and gets strong vibes of Lonely Island's "Motherlover" and "The Golden Rule"?
Really now, Smooth Operator? What an epic song to start your video. EC is great of course, but Sade, sorry she's one better.
Electric Callboy NEED to get picked for Eurovision ASAP
I didn’t know Larry bird could sing
Is uke napoleon dynamites father haha
Was that a nine or a nein out of ten? 😝 sorry I had to lmao
"I give it a Nein" and all the germans wept
Huuuuuge banger.
1st
Germans have no humor, so I don't have one 🤣
I'm going to be honest here. They literally do the same thing every single song. The hype has worn out on me a while ago. It's copy paste and release it seems.
So annoying 😢
