It's things like this that make me want to say crazy things like they're the greatest band of all time. Within the metal genre, they are up there with the best of all time for sure. I can definitely say they're my personal favorite band of all time. They're amazing. Truly. I've seen them twice and they just do this, song after song. All of the "E" songs are truly special. I absolutely LOVE Miyako's guitar playing. She makes the instrument sing with feeling comparable (to me) to Isaac Delehaye of Epica. And holy shit that note that Asami held - epic! Great listen!
Miyako’s guitar technique is related to her training as a classical pianist. Playing complicated music requires relaxed hands and dexterity. Being a natural with instruments plus those techniques = Miyako.
"Edge of the World" is an epic masterpiece and it's melodic storytelling at its finest. This song is a lot more than just power metal, it's essentially 3 rock/metal sub-genres seamlessly and innovatively integrated into one awesome track which further showcases how musically diverse and talented this band is.
