the western anthem that was imposed on the "reunification" is very overrated and has absolutely nothing memorable ... quite the opposite of this instead ...
@@ddr7246 Bro, being a Georgian ML, I think I'm more of a socialist than you are, but to see reunification as a starting point for Das Deutschlandlied is preposterous and kind of highlights your ignorance of school-level history, namely the 1848 revolutions and an objectively progressive character (at the time) of nationalist and patriotic ideas with which the song is associated. It's not a "Western German anthem" and it wasn't written after 1945 either - it is a patriotic song of German patriots who revolted against reactionary monarchical tyranny. tl;dr Das Deutschlandlied has historical significance of which you seem to be unaware.
@@megrelianmage it's an old and worn out anthem, which was not originally written for Germany...it has outdated lyrics that don't represent today's Germany at all...in fact they had to remove the first 2 verses...see how much it is stupid all this... furthermore it was also used by the Nazis because it was functional to their criminal propaganda...

Some people might say the Soviet anthem, the British anthem, and the French anthem is great. I used to say the French anthem and Soviet anthem were great. Nope. This is the actual greatest anthem in the universe. The lyrics don't mention anything about Communism. If you were to compare it to the French anthem, or the Chinese anthem, this anthem goes straight into S tier. I wish this was used as the modern German anthem.
