Hi, we're Beth & Paul from Brisbane, Australia and we love to travel!
Paul retired on 28th February 2020 and on the 1st March 2020, we set out on a 6-month adventure around South East Asia. This was a well-planned once-in-a-lifetime travel experience! It was our intention to show you how you can have a great time travelling without spending a fortune.
Our timing wasn't great - with the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus and subsequent global turmoil less than a month into our trip.
Until it is safe to travel internationally again, we turn our focus on travelling around Queensland and sharing everything our beautiful State has to offer!
Our videos are posted weekly 😊 (we aim for Thursdays).

Fantastic food and Cruising , marvellous SKY. Happy Weekend.😊🥰🤗
Hi Ramesh 😊 yes, we had a fantastic time on this seafood lunch cruise 🦐 and the weather was perfect ☀️ We hope you have an awesome weekend!!! 🤗
Ive just started following you. I've lived in Brissy all my 43 years & I'm always so bored lol. I started thinking I should start viewing Queensland as thought I'm a tourist & started looking for inspo. So glad I found your channel, you do a lot of very accessible things. This outing looked great (and yummy!).
Hi @aussiejubes 🤗 We’re really happy you found our channel and we hope it gives you lots of inspo! We’re so lucky we live in Queensland aren’t we? There’s so much natural beauty, amazing beaches, delicious local produce, spectacular scenery, wonderful weather etc etc. We love exploring our region and the best thing is that we never have to spend much money to have an awesome experience 😊
You had me with the seafood platter Jared 😆
Ha ha ….same here! It looked awesome didn’t it?!
NICE! Living the good life. Fish n Chips....my favorite meal. Take care and keep touring, making me jealous :)
Hi @Entropy Spin 🤗 This cruise was great fun with a friendly crew, spacious boat, delicious seafood and great scenery. We’re really happy you enjoyed this video and hope you have a great weekend ☀️
Harriet and I find those places in our own backyard are often taken for granted. It's the old line. Who Knew? What a discovery for you guys. Thank You for taking us there. Sending you lots of love💖💖 Jim and Harriet. Richmond, Va.
Thanks Jim and Harriet…that’s so true! Our local tourism operators have been doing it tough with closed borders, lockdowns and the recent floods. We really enjoyed this and it makes you think doesn’t it? ….that as locals we can have so much fun doing tourist activities too 🤗
A great cruise and lunch we have been on it a couple of times when we went over to Aussie, it's worth every cent 😀 thanks Beth for such a great report and video
Thanks Brian 🤗 we understand why you would do this a couple of times…we really enjoyed it and we were sitting next to people who had also done it before…such a lovely way to spend an afternoon ☀️ Thanks for watching and have a great weekend 😊
Thank you for your effort to make us happy
Thank you Madura 🤗 we hope you’re having a lovely weekend ☀️
Hi Beth and Paul!! Long time no talk! I recently moved to Germany, but still dreaming of visiting your beautiful country one day. Keep on shooting great videos ❤
Ciao Vincenzo 🤗🤗 It’s great to hear from you and wonderful to hear that you’re living in Germany! With the pandemic situation improving here and subsequent opening of our borders, we hope your dream comes true soon ❤️
Looks like an incredible day on the water. I bet the seafood was tasty.
Hi Imogen 🤗 yes, we had a great afternoon and the weather was perfect ☀️ The seafood was delicious and a perfect amount…it always seems to taste better when it’s so fresh from the sea doesn’t it? 😋
Love how you give advise on where to buy tickets as a bargain prices on your video's. Thank you for that. The food looked delicious. 💖
Thanks Sandra 🤗 We’re really pleased this video was useful. Our videos are not sponsored but we do like to tell our viewers where they can find a good deal 🤗
Captain Jezza Seafood sounds delicious will check it out when I come back to mooloolaba thanks Beth for more tourist tips and your lovely smile.
Daz in Nzed retuning to sunny coast in a few weeks 😎
Hey Darren 😎 it was a sensational 27c in Mooloolaba today! We hope the weather is also great when you return ☀️ Yes, this seafood lunch was delicious and the boat crew were great. Thanks for your kind words, we’re glad you found this video useful 🤗
Yummy 😋. My mouth was watering 😂. I've said it before and I'll say it again, you live in Paradise. Thanks for the lovely cruise ❣️. Take care and see you next week 🤠.
Ha ha Carol….there’s nothing like fresh seafood is there?! We felt very lucky with this one…fantastic crew, perfect weather and delicious lunch. We are lucky to live here and hope that our viewers who many never get to visit Queensland can experience a little through our videos ☀️ Have a wonderful weekend!
@@BethandPaultravel were these areas (Caloundra, Maroochydore and Mooloolaba) affected by the flooding? They still look so perfect 😍. Queensland sure knows how to get the job done ❤️.
Hi Carol 😊 yes they were…but many inland towns like Pomona and Gympie fared much worse. We think most Queenslanders understand we live in a region that can flood and we do what we can to prepare and minimise the impact. As we drive around Sth East Qld, we’re also amazed at how quickly things appear to have returned to normal 😉
@@BethandPaultravel we're just watching Bribie island update on RUclips 😞. Oh my gosh. The view from our hotel room is split in two. There's a whole new bar. It's so different 😢. For the better we hope. I just hope the ocean doesn't pour into Golden Beach during big storms.
Thanks for Sharing ! Great !
Thanks for taking the time to comment 🤗
Just beautiful. The seafood looked sooo good when I was eating my last hot cross bun🥴😆
Ha ha …nothing wrong with hot cross buns 😋 Our son Mathew was only saying yesterday how much he enjoys having a hot cross bun with ☕️for breakfast this time of year 😋 But, the seafood was delicious…the hot food was served hot and the calamari melted in our mouths 😋
@@BethandPaultravel Haha..I ran out of chocolate ones that I heat in the microwave and the chocolate just melts..yummy.. so a fruit one had to suffice.. wish I could have reached through iPad screen and grabbed little bit of cray.. 😋
Beautiful
Thank Mehmet 🤗 Have a great weekend!

Thanks Jan 🤗 Have a great weekend! ☀️
Even though your SE Asia plans were put on hold it's great you're making the most of beautiful QLD. Will you plan to travel again internationally now borders are open?
Hi Liz 🤗 wow! We had to respond to you straight away because as we were preparing dinner right now, we were actually just discussing when and where our next trip would be…..we’ve were talking about Scotland, Spain or going back to Sth East Asia. All great places 😊 We love living in Queensland, which is why we haven’t been in a rush ☀️ We hope you had a great weekend 🌸
@@BethandPaultravel what great choices! Scotland is high on my list too. Spain is fabulous, my husband lived there for a year and it's a beautiful country. I understand not feeling a rush though with so much beauty on our own doorstep!
This cruise seems to be very pleasant, very beautiful view especially on these sumptuous houses.👍 Thank you for making us discover this beautiful country d'Australia 🤩.
Thanks @Les voyages de B&D 🤗🤗 we’re so happy that you’re still watching our videos and enjoying seeing more of Australia ❤️
Yummy 🤤
Hi Andy - Earthly Habits 🤗 Yes, the seafood was so fresh and was really yummy 😋
Good morning Beth & Paul. We're loving your Queensland vlogs, keep them coming. Like you my husband & I retired in 2019 . We're hoping to resume our travels with a visit to Queensland later this year. We are looking to base ourselves for a few weeks on the coast. Noosa has been recommended but is a little out of our budget. We're now looking at Mooloolaba or Calounda and wondered if you could recommend one?
Many thanks Jules
Hi Jules 😊 Don't worry, you don't have to stay in Noosa to enjoy everything Noosa has to offer! Your alternative choices - Mooloolaba and Caloundra - are equally great places, so it's difficult for us to choose between the two. We used to live close to Mooloolaba and geographically, it probably has the advantage of being situated around the middle of the Sunshine Coast - so it's quicker to get to Caloundra (South) one way but also Noosa (North) the other way. Make sure you make a trip out to Eumundi market on a Saturday morning....it's a beautiful, tropical town and the market has lots of quality stalls. Also, the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and Noosa Hinterland are well worth a visit! We hope you have a wonderful holiday ☀️
@@BethandPaultravel Thank you. It's thanks to you both, plus Phoebe & Matt behind the camera for our full & varied itinerary. We can't wait for our adventure to begin......keep traveling. Kind regards Jules
Thanks Julie 🤗 we watch Phoebe & Matt too! Their videos are awesome ❤️
lovlley prawns look like prawns john is dribbling wine aswell we get yellow tail .hows the disabled access ?he dosent go any where without his pee pot ,some things shrink as you get older?
Yes, they were “Mooloolaba Prawns”….superior king prawns that are famous in Australia for being bigger, richer and stronger in colour. They are sourced locally in the ocean off Mooloolaba and taste amazing 🦐😋 The disabled access was good…a ramp on the jetty to the boat and no stairs or steps inside. The interior was very spacious with plenty of room between the tables.
hes watching boring snooker zzzzzzzz
We are planning to come to the Sunshine Coast from the USA next winter (your summer). We want to spend four days and nights (at least) at Mooloolaba. What place do you recommend for us to stay at? We want to be on or near the beach.
Hi Oswald 🤗 That’s a great question but really difficult to answer….because Mooloolaba has so much accommodation to choose from! The good news is that that there’s something for everyone! We would recommend looking at an online accommodation inventory website….like Booking.com or Agoda or something similar. When you find something you like, you can check the Google reviews or Trip Advisor reviews to help narrow your choices. That’s what we do…..Mooloolaba is flat and very walkable, lots of lovely shops, cafes and restaurants. Mooloolaba beach is a safe place to swim and Mooloolaba Wharf has some amazing dining options. We recently went on a seafood lunch cruise around Mooloolaba and it was great 😊 Don’t forget to walk along the boardwalk to Mooloolaba Spit for the freshest of seafood including famous Mooloolaba Prawns 🍤 We hope you have a wonderful holiday ☀️
@@BethandPaultravel Thank you. We love the videos you do.
Brisbane weather is better than Melbourne.
Weather was a big factor when we decided to move from Victoria to South East Queensland 19 years ago ☀️ Although we’ve had more than our fair share of rain this year 🙄 Still, it’s the milder winters that we ❤️ Thanks for watching @new zealand 🤗
Awesome video 🙂🤗😍😍😍
Thanks @viceieva 🤗 Have a great weekend ☀️
