It is quite irritating to have to wait. I admire Hopper's patience. Can't watch the whole thing.

You can tell Hopper is frustrated with the interpreter. When Dennis got started talking about these things, he got fired up and just wanted to go and go.

Come on Dennis, Brando would sit looking at the interviewer and then interview HIM.

Poor translator :) Dennis Hopper's sentences get longer and longer.

    • @mfbias4048

How so? He did a good job of trying to break him up. An actor isnt going to want to have to wait when they are paid to talk, they like the sound of their own voice.

@@mfbias4048 You misunderstand. I'm sympathising with the translator. _"Poor"_ as in _unfortunate._

So what one should say about De Sica's work with child actors? That was extraordinary.

Interesting thoughts. I don't know enough of the people he mentions to care about much of his talk, but I dig hearing him talk about acting and such. I remember hearing that Brando's costar in Waterfront did that famous scene with a stand in. That's rather lame. Whereas when close ups of Micheal Clarke Duncan were being filmed for Green Mile, Tom Hanks sat across from him and delivered his end of the scene. Duncan really appreciated it, and knew he was getting to see a fine actor put in a performance that would certainly not be the one shown in the ultimate closeup shots used.
